Perspective: I know some uconn fans. I have never met a Rutgers fan.

I am not sure why we would need to add Cinci and UCONN BEFORE adding ACC schools? I would say skip Cinci and UCONN and go straight to the four ACC schools to match the conference numbers of the Big 10 and SEC.
ACC teams being added is a smoke screen. Not happening.

I never understood the decision to add Rutgers to the big10. Obviously, the TV subscription revenues were attractive. But Rutgers? Heck, I'm not sure Rutgers is the most popular college program in NJ. Add to that the ineptness of their FB and BB programs, they are a misfit in the Big10.

IMO Cincy is a solid choice because of their proximity to the Big12 footprint. UConn or BYU are both outliers to the Big12 footprint. They would just replace WVU as the only child.

With BYU and Loisville, I think that forces the Big12 to expand west and go after schools like CSU, UNLV, New Mexico.

With Louisville and UConn, that signals a desire to add 2 to 4 ACC schools. While FSU would be the crown jewel. I would think new members of the ACC like Pitt, Louisville or Boston College might be more likely to bolt.

Am I the only one that wants this expansion to happen just for the primary reason of being entertained by isuno1fan losing his **** over not having his "precious" round robin anymore?

Seneca Wallace disagrees

No, I'm pretty sure he would agree and admit there is no way in hell ISU should have lost to them. Has everyone forgot we beat them with Steele Jantz as our QB at their place? If you want proof their program is garbage there you go.

I remember that game, it was like a morgue in the stadium.

No sources for any of this?

Hope it's true though. UConn and Cincinnati would be good additions. Especially if it gets a Big 12 Network and the chance to poach some top ACC schools.

Uconn only if we have a sweet ESPN deal and a Big 12 network in the NYC/ New Jersey /Connecticut cable subscriber market

UCONN only a few years removed from their 1-AA days in FB

not impressed

. So turning the Big 12 into the WAC conference sounds appealing ?? The day we invite the aforementioned schools in bold above-- is the day Texas and Oklahoma gives the Big 12 the middle finger

enough of this nonsense

Signed, Ohio State, Michigan, and the rest of the B1G

It just amazes me how many people don't get that having a weaker division is much more beneficial. The big ten messed that up the first time but quickly corrected to the current weak west division.

The weak division props up bad teams and makes average teams look great ( see Iowa).

When they finally have to play someone good, no one cares and their record is still good. The knowledgeable fans see the reality of a bad division and aren't swayed by wins over bad teams.

There is no downside to unequal divisions.

Actually, there is - the old Big 12 North, where nobody was "propped up", but it was just plain bad at football. Had Iowa State choked on one fewer win in both 2004 and 2005, ISU would have been back-to-back outright Big 12 North champions - with 7 wins in '04 and 8 wins in '05. As awesome as it would have been for ISU, that's just bad football.

Trade WV for Mizzou, add Fighting Eustachys and New Mexico and be done.

I would like to see New Mexico included if the Big 12 is going to "elevate" a school. Gives TT a closer rival. The only downside to them is the state only has around 2 million people, even if almost 1 million of them are in Albuquerque.

CSU, no thanks. People in Colorado don't care about them. Heck people there don't care about Colorado...

Heck just go to 14. Add Uconn, Cincy, Memphis and NM.
