I know it's a pipe dream, but does the $$ ever get good enough to tempt Notre Dame ? I know their football has a sweet deal, but would be nice for them to have a conference for Olympic sports.

Add Cinci, UCONN , and CSU.

I would like that.

Just don't see the love for CSU. Big 12 won't go west. It would take UCF before CSU. I am beginning to think that UCONN would be too much of an outlier as well and the Big 12 might look at Memphis.

Just so you know...Texas Tech is CST

I wonder how excited Tech is about traveling to UCONN. It's only one timezone...

That is why I think Memphis would be better. And Texas Tech is in Lubbock. They are probably happy to leave for a while.

The Big 12 either expands or gets picked apart by the other P5 conferences in the future (or near future). Where do you think that leaves Iowa State?

We all know the SEC isn't going to invite us. The Big 10 has refused to offer an invite to us, even though it makes the most sense. The ACC knows ISU would be a terrible geographic fit, as well as the PAC 12 or 14 or 16 or whatever it is.

Until the new Big Ten deal is signed there's nothing but speculation. Nothing is going to happen until then (or until the details are known by the leadership of various conferences, which might be a couple months before the dotted line is signed)

Didn't want to read all the posts so if said before sorry. But I feel these would be okay teams to add. I just have a feeling that Uconn is going to be our version of Big10 Rutgers in The big12. It's flipped though they are a dumbster in FB, okay in men's Bball.
Scary great in Woman's Bball, Baylor, Texas, uconn, & ISU all in same conference wow. Does uconn have a wrestling program? Cincy would be another Louisville situation. Thus the big 12 better not pass on Cincy too. I have been preaching look out for the ACC to slipt up so maybe we could add any of these teams Pitt, Syarcuse, Georgia tech, va tech, FSU.

Didn't read, lol

I would take UCONN and Cincy in a heartbeat. I think heading East is Smart. I would think Memphis would be the next pick. I think the more interesting discussion is what ACC teams we poach. I think it is 2 of these 4. Syracuse, Pitt, Louisville, Florida St.

While I agree we shouldnt go too far west like BYU. CSU isn't that far away. CSU is closer to big 12 schools than UConn is to WVU. Plus Cincy can be solve WVU problem of having no schools by them. UConn would be another island.

This map makes it obvious the correct choices are Memphis and Cincinnati.

I haven't researched this subject very much, outside of what i read here, so could you explain to me why the ACC is so much easier to poach teams from than the Big 12? Why are is the Big 12 on such solid footing to poach from another P5 conference when all the talk on the street is how the Big 12 is the conference that isn't surviving?

They have a GOR just like us, right?

Only reason I want CSU because Colorado is a great state and I would love to go back to having a Big 12 team there.

Expanding outwards worries you? Add UConn, Cinci, CSU and BYU. Divide division up east and west. Split some of the teams in the center to either division.
