I'd say Whitehead is the worst one that refs our games regularly. Eades is a close second. 13 more made free throws was the difference. But if we shoot 100% on our 10 FTs, we win. At least one more front end missed by Georges.

It was a hose job all along. I had VERY good seats by scorers table and ISU fans were targeted immediately. WVU fans said things to officials that were far worse but nothing mentioned. It was like security conferences the whole game when ISU was part of anything for what fans said. People behind the scorers bench know what I mean.

Our athletic department needs to petition the Big 12 and refuse to allow Eades to referee any of our games in the future. I'm tired of watching his biased officiating. Anyone with a brain can see what is happening every time he is on the floor in one of our games. Our guys need to be allowed to play the same game that the opponent is playing, and he prevents that from happening.

There was one call in particular where he blew the whistle before contact was even made. It was one where he called Monte for a block or a hold on the perimeter I think when Cousins started to drive to his left from the 3 point line. Think it was in the first half. I would go back and look at it again but I rage deleted my DVR of the game already.

Several things I saw:
OU player reaches across ISU body with one hand on the wing, touches the ball. JUMP BALL
Buddy plows into the lane goes up and comes down with the ball in hand against ISU body. NO JUMP BALL 2 points Heild
Buddy heild ally ooop dunk , nobody touches him. 3 POINT PLAY
Nader drives to the hoop down 8 for an and 1 while Heild slides into him leaving his feet obviously not set. CHARGE

The image on ESPN's college bball front page is Buddy elbowing Thomas in the face. It's way more of a foul than Niang's offensive foul or Monte's ridiculous hand check foul.

"OU player reaches across ISU body with one hand on the wing, touches the ball. JUMP BALL"
There was 10x more contact on that play than Niang's 5th foul, they blew the whistle to foul out Georges of his last Big 12 game before he even touched the guy. We're talking about a top 3 Cyclone player of all time and he goes fouls oun on bogus calls in his last conference game. I think that defines how fixed the game was last night more than anything.

Even if that last foul on Georges was actually a foul (it wasn't) there is no way Eades could have seen it. Both Georges and Buddy's bodies were completely blocking his view of the "alleged" contact.

They were bad, but could they at least be bad on both ends of the floor?

I saw this and re-watched it about 3 times. He blew the whistle before the contact.

To be fair - officials will usually call these types of fouls in the final seconds because 99% of the time the losing team is trying to foul.

Was Eades the official at Ta&m game? I watched all the games on the TV this year and last night vs OU and @Ta&m the announcers were quite displeased with the officials. Every call against ISU last night the announcers would review and would say; nope not a travel; nope bad call; nope not enough to call that. The color guy was calm about it but was just like that was not a travel.

Should conspiracy charges be brought against Eades?

The espn article on the game even called the charge on Nader suspect. That whole sequence was ****ed and ended with the phantom foul on Cooke on the alley oop.

When are referees going to be held accountable for being bad at their jobs? I'm just about done with college sports all together. Its nothing more than a popularity contest.

Referees: Don Daily, Brian Shey, Joe Lindsay

Those were the refs from the A$M game. Don Daily is another sub-par official (who was on the court last night, by the way), but not nearly as bad as Eades is.

So, we had two poor to downright bad officials in last night's game. Higgins is what he is, I'm not as down on him as some people are. I think he does a decent job overall, and I see a LOT of games that he refs because....well, he refs a lot of damn games.

It's so typical ISU for us to have a generational type player and even he can't get a call to save his life. I hate ******** about officiating, but it really is ridiculous.

not as typical Iowa state as having a legacy coach who doesn't want to be here.

I don't usually believe in conspiracy theories, but if ever I saw good evidence for one, it was the way that game was called last night. I wonder when that meeting took place where they told the refs, "We need OU and KU in the finals to hopefully get two #1 seeds?

Last night was the exact reason basketball will never be my favorite sport. When the kids are allowed to play on both ends of the court, it's the greatest game on the planet, when the refs decide to make a spectacle of themselves though, it's possibly the hardest thing to watch.

Referees just have two much control in the outcome of a game. The apologists can argue this all they want, but what if they decided to start calling half the stuff Buddy should be called for, imagine if he had 2 with 5 minutes or so left to go in the half. What if he picked up a 3rd early in the second half? It completely changes the game.

Buddy is a great player and there is no denying that, but I can't stand how some guys get away with everything they do, only to have other guys get called for simply breathing on another guy. Or worst, like last night, when the whistle is being blown before anything even happens.
