1. Muuuuuch needed rest. Man man especially.
2. Even though we lost 2 in a row, it was down to the end with possibly 2 #1 seeds.
3. Niang seems to be hitting his stride. Add the fact that he has nothing to lose and something to prove to nba scouts.
4. We will be taking on the under dog role again, something to prove. See last year's results not being a underdog.
5. Hopefully no more playing b12 teams (at least for a while.)
6. We don't have to get incredibly ****** off at the officials vs wvu

7.And most importantly, no more b12 officials, hopefully

They have been in every single game in the last minutes. Every single one. No blowouts. That's rather impressive. Also impressive is how often ISU is on the wrong end of 50/50 propositions. You'd think the ball would bounce the right way at least once these past few weeks. But it wouldn't be ISU if it wasn't "so close yet so far away". I like ISU's chances to advance to the 2nd weekend. They wont face a string of teams as good as the ones ISU has been facing.

Niang is such a special player! Seriously awesome just seeing 2 seniors dominate the game, obviously wish for a different outcome but what Niang did in the second half was special. Need to enjoy these games.

We've lost seven of the last eight games we've played against tournament teams. Surely this will be corrected when we play different tournament teams.

If we get niang game from the 2nd half last night and at least 1 or 2 other players are on, we will be unstoppable

I thought we played two of our best games of the year (overall- offense/defense/rebounding/grit/toughness) in the last two, despite them being losses. If you don't think we're peaking, you don't understand basketball beyond the W/L.

Also, from Chris' podcast, Georges on UAB: "That's not happening again". Very few team/ref combinations could have beaten us last night. We play with that kind of desire in the tournament, and the only thing that will stop us is shots simply not falling.

We struggled and lost by 3. Niang is the only reason we weren't blown out last night. Get Morris some rest and be ready for the tourney

I'm interested to see what happens when we play teams who haven't seen us. We are a top offensive team and its vs players and coaches who know what is coming.

Very much agree with this. Big 12 teams have seen the same ISU for two years running. They know what we run, and know what helps stop it (as much as it can be stopped).

Someone unfamiliar to us will be a very welcome change, and particularly so in the 2nd round where they have a short turnaround.

Miles Simon likes our team. He alluded to several calls going against us -- without calling the referees garbage -- like the rest of us.

Bad calls and Morris being injured cost them that game but their defense and rebounding has been batter the past few games. Their D on Ken Pom went up 10 spots after playing one of the best offenses in the country and the D has gotten about 30 spots better in the last four games. But they need Monte healthy. I swear ISU can't get a break in the NCAA. First year in under Fred have to play Kentucky. Second year Babb goes down, third year Niang goes down and now Monte might not be healthy for the tournament. I'm keeping my fingers crossed though and praying to every god there could be that he gets healthy

Naz's hips last year as well during tourney time. His numbers were a shadow of himself when healthy.

I like the Niang point. I think since senior night, it's really set in that his college career is almost over, and he's trying to make the most of his last games. He seems to be peaking right now, and as long as he doesn't put too much pressure on himself, we should see him play great. You know he's gunna make sure the team is ready to play that first game. We just gotta hope the shots are falling.

To you're other point, how freaking funny would it be if we follow West Virginia's game in the tournament??... Lol

Georges took it to a level that I have been waiting to see all year. If he continues to play like that this team is going to go a long way. The other players just need to take care of the ball and not force something that is not there. Then we can be crazy good. I will not be surprised if we embarrass a team or two yet. The guys are playing much improved.

Those B12 officials work several conferences. We will see them.
