I don't usually believe in conspiracy theories, but if ever I saw good evidence for one, it was the way that game was called last night. I wonder when that meeting took place where they told the refs, "We need OU and KU in the finals to hopefully get two #1 seeds?

Last night was the exact reason basketball will never be my favorite sport. When the kids are allowed to play on both ends of the court, it's the greatest game on the planet, when the refs decide to make a spectacle of themselves though, it's possibly the hardest thing to watch.

Referees just have two much control in the outcome of a game. The apologists can argue this all they want, but what if they decided to start calling half the stuff Buddy should be called for, imagine if he had 2 with 5 minutes or so left to go in the game. What if he picked up a 3rd early in the second half? It completely changes the game.

Buddy is a great player and there is no denying that, but I can't stand how some guys get away with everything they do, only to have other guys get called for simply breathing on another guy. Or worst, like last night, when the whistle is being blown before anything even happens.

Why would the Big 12 want ISU out of the tourney? ISU and Kansas are the only 2 fan bases that show up for the Big 12 tourney. The conference and KC make a lot of money when ISU is in town.

Because with OU making it to the finals, it gives them a good shot at a 1 Seed with Kansas. Ticket sales don't mean as much as that. Yeah, KC and the Sprint Center probably want ISU around, but over all, it's better for the Big 12 to have two #1 seeds.

Or there doesn't have to be any conspiracy for the officials to simply have called a horrible game that favored OU. Maybe some of them are basketball fans and were watching Buddy like a little kid watching a Jordan Gatorade commercial. Who knows? The result was we got screwed as is often the case in Big 12 competition.

Pretty much this. The questionable calls will be reviewed there will be a private grade given to the offending refs. Offending refs may or might not be reprimanded. The beat go on.

Any real good coach has (Bill Self) would have got a technical by now sticking up for his team and not let the reffs get away with this crap. Prohm needs to speak up.

I am getting pretty tired of Prohm not doing a damn thing while this goes on. As a college head coach you know how far you can go before you get tee'd up. Stick up for your players!!!

Nader got the sour end of it tonight. That travel call towards the end of the 1st half (announcers were kind enough to point out that it wasn't a travel) took 2 points off the board. Then that charge call, where Buddy slides in under Nader who was already in the air. That single play was an 8 point swing. Instead of the and one, a T is called and OU gets 5 points on the other end. That was the single biggest call of the game.

Could not agree more. I'm hopeful that as we get into the NCAAs we will have refs that can keep up with Nader's style of play.

Just watched the game. There were less than a handful of questionable calls honestly. Turnovers, lack of intent when driving, and poor transition defense lost us this one.

That was his first T as ISU head coach. I feel he should of had 3-5 by now based upon game situations we've been in. Self is a great example of getting on refs early and getting calls, also helps when you're HOF coach.

I agree with this. A few bad calls but lots of bad turnovers. Take away a few of those and we win. That is something we CAN control.

I hate this. Why should he be trying to pick up techs? Why does everyone think Self gets T'd up all the time? Yeah he gets on the refs but he can get away with it. Prohm got T'd up for not a whole lot last night. I don't get how getting a technical foul called on your coach helps

It was a hose job all along. I had VERY good seats by scorers table and ISU fans were targeted immediately. WVU fans said things to officials that were far worse but nothing mentioned. It was like security conferences the whole game when ISU was part of anything for what fans said. People behind the scorers bench know what I mean.

Wow that makes it a LOT WORSE and says that it was completed planed and certain people knew ahead of time. I know ISU has a bit of a reputation but this is bias by definition.

Yep. Happens every game. Nobody gets poor officiating but us. Crazy but true according to many.

Maybe. But there were 2 key garbage calls that changed the game. Georges's 2nd foul and Nader's "charge". Not to mention Buddy playing by a different set of rules.

Exactly right. No way Self gets a T in the same situation in last night's game. If CSP said the same thing Self does most games, he would be watching from the locker room on a nightly basis.

Aren't the tickets already sold anyway? It's just a matter of how many KU fans fill the place now.

It was proof positive that officials officiate each individual on the court based on each of those individuals' own historical actions. Bob Huggins would be tossed out of each game with two T's before the first media timeout if officials treated him the same as they did Prohm last night.

I have been watching this for 33 years and have concluded that ISU will never get treated fairly in the Big 12. The star status that Hoiburg received as a coach helped us the last 2 years or so, but he left us high and dry, and there is no way that Prohm will ever receive such treatment. I am ready to say that I can hardly stand to watch a Big 12 game anymore and there is no one that loves ISU basketball any more than I. I am ready to leave the Big 12 if we could find a decent conference that would promise to give us an equitable seat at the table.

Georges does commit a lot of dumb fouls - he is a senior and needs to know better.

Nadar's two calls (traveling and charge) were both the ones i had issues with and were momentum changers.
