I waited way too long to buy tickets and the price has gone up a lot. Anybody have a read on what prices may be game day?

Even if you were "fortunate" to get them before the big price hike, the sellers on stubhub and ticket city have been cancelling orders to resell them and make more money. I am wondering the same thing if scalping outside UC is ok.

I've lived in Chicago for 20+ years, I've had luck hanging out at a tavern near the UC called Billy Goats. Not the original location, but from Saturday Night Live skit "cheese boiger, cheese boiger, cheese boiger. Chips, no fries." Fun spot.
Good pre game hangout, tell the bar tender your looking and they'll keep an eye out. You will find sellers around the arena too, but bring a seat map with you to confirm seat location. Some scalpers will say the tics are better than they are so you need to confirm via seat map.
Good luck!

3300 listed for sunday

I'm imagining Cyclone fans in the UC madly scrambling for the smartphones right as the clock hits triple zeroes and ISU beats Virginia to try to beat the StubHub rush on Elite 8 ticket

Man, I'm in the same boat. $250 for complete nosebleeds on stubhub...just can't bring myself to do it. I'm hoping for tickets to drop last minute.

Looking at StubHub right now, single tickets in the $230-$250 range. You guys think I should go ahead and just get one now or wait a bit? I just need one ticket.

Hoping for the same as DSM. People panicked and paid out the nose, then sales go stagnant and sellers panic and drop their price

For a single I would definitely scalp. Wait until right before tip too.

No promises, but singles should be available prior to the game at good prices.
"Well, do you feel lucky, punk?"

Or, running to the surrounding Virginia fans and asking if they have Sunday tix and are looking to get rid of them.

I'm sure it's just like an NFL game. The tickets are super expensive if you buy them ahead of time on Stubhub or any site like that. Go to the game and there are scalpers everywhere. Then you feel like a fool that you paid $300 for NFL tickets only to realize you could have paid $100 outside the stadium from about 30 different people.

And like the Rose Bowl this year.

Didn't the Des Moines NCAA tickets tank in price around Tuesday/Wednesday? I'm looking for 6 and nose bleeds $270ish. I don't have a problem paying that but I just have to think they will come down.

If you wait, they will almost certainly drop. The only concern would be being able to get 6 together (unless you don't need all of them together).

So if I also missed the cheap prices and am now waiting, do the ones that are currently ups delivery change as it gets closer or will they just no longer be an option? Because if they become local will call I can wait til Thursday or even friday to buy.

I'm almost certain they change to where StubHub essentially re-creates the ticket and they'll be a Stubhub pickup site (or other vendor). Not 100% sure, but I know we had that for Big 12 tournament tickets a couple years ago.
