Thanks Georges for a great career and being a warrior out there tonight. The other seniors were a bit disappointing. Just too inconsistent all season long - some great games, but disappeared other nights. When they both disappeared on the same night (like tonight), we didn't have a chance.

Agree with you on Nader. Agree with the other guy on McKay. He didn't show up. He got destroyed by Toby. Basically, because Toby played with desire and McKay just stood around wondering why he wasn't getting lob passes.

Honestly felt like we were feeding Niang too much at the beginning, he took like the first 5 shots, missed 4 of them. I get that he is an AA but thats not how we ran the offense before today. If it ain't broke dont fix it.

UVA knew Georges couldn't win the game by himself so they were willing to let him go one on one if it meant Thomas/Nader/etc. didn't get any easy looks.

Go back and read the post. Nader took 4 shots. 4. That is not enough. It could have been VA defense or us just trying to push it inside and not trying to kick it out. When we got pressured we just didnt seem to get the ball to the wings like I thought we needed. I AM NOT BLAMING ANYONE. Just making an observation.

if we start decent, its a toss up. we got down by 17, lost by 13. The rest of the game was even. A couple calls went against us, but we also didnt make the big shots. I am proud of how the finished the game and the season.

We deserved to lose. We lost for the exact same reason we have lost our other 11 games, we had a very poor defense. As cool as it was that we hit the sweet 16, we didn't beat any team of consequence in the last two months. George, as usual, was amazing. But also, as usual, we couldn't get there against good competition.

I fear for next year. Unless we find a special talent and hire someone that can teach average defense, than we won't win 5 conference games. Mark it down
