I think he would've. I think Kerr got the job. Honestly.

Yeah I know they reached out to Fred but I don't know how serious of a candidate he was for that job. Stan Van Gundy and Kerr were obviously their top two choices.

80 games with half on the road. Say goodbye to wife n kids. Last I heard three of his starters were injured so no wonder his season sucks. I always thought the Bulls job was the biggest mistake but what do I know. I hate everything about Chicago including the Cubs.

He also doesn't have to recruit and attend fund raising events during the off season. The Bulls job is one of the top 4 in all of basketball (Lakers, Knicks, Celtics, Bulls). If your ultimate goal is coaching in the NBA then you don't pass the Bulls job up, especially with $25 Million guaranteed.

Some of you people need to lighten up.

Fred's crew has turned a 12 point lead into a 15 point deficit tonight against the Hawks in Chicago.

No big deal, the Bulls have had devastating injuries and any idiot should know that the Bulls team was crap before Fred was hired.

The tradition of the curmudgeonly sports columnist, esp. the big city one, is clearly a little obscure to you younger guys/Fred worshippers. It goes way back to Red Smith. There was a guy named Murray from the L.A. Times that made Rosenbloom read like Mr. Robinson. Some of you guys probably couldn't even stomach Bill Bryson.

Of course Rosenbloom writes from a template and rehashes the same tired metaphors and cliches in a thousand columns. You would, too, if you had to write one every day for 50 years.

That, plus it violates "Iowa nice." I'm sure Fred played in the big city(ies) enough to be used to it. The writing, I mean; not the current Bulls.

He'd be a great fit for the Cavs. Too bad he didn't take that job when offered, but that was also like a month or two before James made his return and before they had Love/Smith/Shump...

That 'crap team' has made the playoffs and won a series nearly every single year in the playoffs since 07-08, despite multiple 'devastating injuries' every single year since 2011-12...also Jimmy Butler has played the best basketball of his career this year, and Derrick Rose has played some of his best basketball since his initial injuries.
This team is clearly not great, but there is no way in **** they should be 36-37 right now. Any idiot that follows the NBA should know that.

i know that. There were several people in this thread who were saying that. I was mocking them.

Do you really think I'd go out of my way to defend hoiberg?

Went to the game tonight, only heard about 10 people yelling fire Hoiberg. Half of the people yelling that didn't even know the Bulls' players names.
