It was just about the money. I mean he wanted to see if he could do it in the NBA too but $25 mil and move on. You can't make that kind of money in his situation doing anything else. Now he can retire at 47 or move into a low stress front office job and his family is set for life

his family was already set for life. But now they can pay for both houses, I guess.

I guess that depends on what you consider set for life but he maxed out his earning potential by going to the NBA.

Mayo or miracle whip?

I gotta go with Mayo. Miracle whip is just nasty.

Of course, aioli is a whole other option. Aioli kicks all kinds of mayo ***. My ranking:

Aioli
Mayo
Miracle Whip
Two condiment related things that we agree on? It's a brave, new world.

This thread is great.

And as far as Aioli, only if its garlic aioli, which my computer keeps wanting to change to ravioli. So my ranking goes:

Ravioli
Aoili
Mayo
Miracle Hwip.
I think Miracle Hips sound fun in bed.

Almost 150 Hoiberg-related posts before somebody placed in this GIF.

I'm disappointed in you CF.

Fred and Carol knew it was time to leave Ames, when they caught jsb going through their trash.

Would Jamie immediately Fire Prohm and accept hoiberg back? I've asked a few cyclone fans this today and they think he'd do it in a second.

I..
what...
Do you...

...

No idea what to say to this...

"Your post is bad and you should feel bad" comes to mind.

Dear Mods,

Please don't shut down this thread ever. Not ever. Not ever. Not ever.

In fact, once the activity in it is winding down, would it be possible for me to get a printed transcript of the entire thread. I would like to have it placed on my tombstone. If you could do it in some kind of fancy calligraphy or Comic Sans font that would be awesome.

Sincerely,

JCyclonee

I don't know about this. If he can figure out a way to monetize the use of his name in dumb threads that would increase his earning potential exponentially.

No.

I suppose Fred sitting around in Ames doing nothing could potentially make Prohm's seat a bit warmer that it would usually be if he has a couple of bad seasons, which would still be unfair to Prohm.

This exactly, there is no way Fred for one would say to Jaime he wants to come back get rid of your current coach and JP just moves on that. Fred would have to be available and CSP would have to be losing all momentum in the program after a couple NIT appearances or something.

I absolutely disagree. I think what Fred did was great and got us back on the right track but he lived on the edge with recruiting each year. He did not like recruiting and at some point it was going to bite him in the ***. Prohm is a good coach and will take us farther than Fred could have.

Is this the most logical question, no. But it's laughable how defensive most of you get when Prohm and Fred are mentioned together. In a perfect scenario, there's no doubt Pollard, and all the fans, would rather have Hoiberg over Prohm.

twins said he doesn't like coaching at all and will retire after 5 years. He signed a 5 year contract. If the Bulls fire him before 5 years, I'm curious if he will find a job for the remaining years. Or if he just wanted the 5 year money.

Hoiberg's 5yr/$25M contract was fully guaranteed. If he is fired after next year the Bulls will owe him $15M to not be there. He wouldn't need to go find a new job for the "remaining years" you're referring to.

That's why I asked if it was about coaching or just about the money. i am actually curious. I can't find out everything by digging through their trash. (I assume no sarcasm pirate is needed but....)

I agree, but I did say "in a perfect scenario," and I mentioned to someone earlier, if Hoiberg could have been Iowa St's Coach K.

This is one of those threads that make me want to push a new policy out there. When you have an idea for a thread, go ahead, write it up. Then, take a nap, sleep on it and have a cup of coffee or two to help you sober up. Then read your post again. If it still looks like a good idea, go ahead and post it.

I really feel that course of action would prevent a lot of this kind of stuff.

I just doesn't appear that Fred liked recruiting. His high school recruits for the most part flamed out and he was too relied on transfers. I know he had a couple of HS guys do well but more left than stayed. Prohm appears to like recruiting and likes the college life. I would have loved to have Fred become the next Coach K but it wasn't in his DNA.
