I would probably not play that card if I am residing in Fayetteville, Arkansas...

The good thing is Paul never lost his hillbilly twang he obtained from his 1 yr at Auburn. He'll hit the ground running in Fayetteville

sorry you didn't play for them, but we did have a 9 win team in there somewhere, it is possible

Uh yeah i was on that 9 win team. But I am sorry we have had one 9 win season in 100+years of ISU football so my point remains that coaches at ISU haven't exactly lit it up.

chiz didn't get fired, he ditched us for auburn. Actually a lot of fans were upset that he up and left. He probably would have gotten another 2-3 years to coach here.

Chizik found his problem at ISU and wasnt getting talent here it was his assistants. Its quite obvious that the guys he brought along to run the Offense and Defense were lame as both are out of football. If either was a football genius, they would have hooked on somewhere. (Gotta edit my post....McFarland caught on with La Tech this year - Bolt out of football)

Chizik changed his philosophy when he got into the SEC and truly figured out how to cheat. Once there, he knew he needed a top tier offensive coordinator and got the guy. Ironic, he got fired and now his OC is there coaching. Not to mention paying Cam to come there, anyone that thinks Cam didn't get big bucks to go to Auburn still believes OJ's gloves didn't fit, so they must acquit....

Holding on to that hatred, yes i do.... i remember cheering against UNC late last year when they talked about Chizik....

Did Chizik hire the OC? Or did the AD hire him knowing who he wanted to coach his team after Chizik? Hard to imagine Chizik making a choice that good.

Because of the low depths he took this normally historic football program at Iowa State University. It's embarrassing what a joke he made out of this normally proud, incredibly successful program.

The joke was being paid millions to try and change that, but then accepting it and giving up on changing it and then continuing to pay him millions. The joke was on us for about the past 3 years and I guess if you like being the butt of that kind of joke then CPR was your man.

One airport near Fayetteville - Northwest Arkansas Regional Airport is 22 miles from the University of Arkansas. They have direct flights to 14 major cities.

DSM is 40 miles from ISU and has direct flights to 19 major cities.

Both airports have direct flights to recruiting hotbeds: Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Charlotte and Orlando. DSM also has direct flights to Tampa and St. Louis which provides slightly better access to the southeast. NWAR does have a direct flight to San Francisco for slightly better access to California though.

This post screams "Welcome to the offseason."

Nope 100% Chiziks hire... Mahlzan was tearing it up at Tulsa, his offense was innovative and exciting and putting up yards and points against superior talent. When he hired Mahlzan, it was only a matter of time, and alleged incidents before he was gone. I believe thats why mahlzan left, was that he knew that if he left to goto Arkansas St, that Chizik would fail and Jacobs would hire him back.... might even have been a deal discussed prior to leaving as Chizik was busy battling Cam Newtons daddy got paid conversations....

Rhoads was fired. Tell me how that is considered "accepting" it?
