What's happened to Aunt Maudes? Not for the good.

Bob and Pat have a long time relationship in the food business, having been paired together at O'Malley's. Bob also opened O'Malley's in Jacksonville, FL. He sold his interest in Maude's some years back. I believe he is looking into a new location near Workiva?

It's going to be called "Provisions" and is under construction now (foundation work just starting).

If you want to watch tv, stay home. Eating out is about being social. You know, talking to people? Unless you are going out to watch a sports event you don't have access to.
Sorry I like to watch sporting events when I go to restaurants. Even Mcdonald's has TVs

Last restaurant I ate in, there was a couple with a pitcher of beer and their noses in their phones the whole time we were there. :spinny: Whatever floats their boats I guess.

Since everything sucks I would recommend smoking a bunch of weed beforehand then the food will taste ******* fantastic.

Went to Maude's in April. Seemed fine to me.

Besides the chicken strips cheese balls and ice cream hickory park sucks. There's nothing special about the place. And how does the biggest restaurant in Ames not have TVs?

Because they don't want you there any longer than possible to get the next party in your table. That is why the booths are uncomfortable and you are often served by multiple people. There are also spotters on a catwalk scanning for groups about to leave. They have turning tables over down to a science. They have little incentive to make you comfortable, treat you that well or serve exceptional food. It's always packed regardless.

I went to Aunt Maudes once with my at-the-time girlfriend who, while I was in the bathroom, ordered a $35 rack of lamb, just because she wanted to see what it looked and tasted like. (This was just prior to being able to find this stuff on your phone easily)

Safe to say I'm no longer with girl. Haven't been to Aunt Maudes since, but this was 7 years ago.

I'm mad that Aunt Maude's doesn't have a dollar menu. Overpriced.

They have my double quarter pounder with cheese meal already for pick up at 6pm every night for me. It's like clockwork. I just gave them my card information to keep so I don't have to hassle with that.
