I'm also considering the Playstation Vue as I would like to get a new Playstation and they have the Fox Sports Channels. However, does anyone know if I could stream to the Playstation, Cyclones.TV or would I need to add a Roku box?

Can someone with Roku experience answer a question for me? If I want to watch Cyclones.tv and Netflix over WiFi, which Roku model is good enough?

Any Roku model will be good enough to stream over wifi. The real question is if your wifi is good enough to stream HD content.

Caveat...it needs to be one of the new Roku's for a good experience. The older Roku's are a little buggy. They'll do the job, but you might have to deal with random reboots. But I've heard the new Roku's are much better.

How new? I'm thinking probably the Stick or the Roku 2.

We have a 2 in the basement and a stick in the bedroom (and a 3 coming for another room). The stick seems to work just as well so long as there's a good wi-fi connection.

FYI...On roku's site they have some good deals on refurbished equipment. Some people are wary of refurbished but I've bought a lot over the years and never had a problem.

I watched some on an old Roku LT last night and it went well. My daughter stole the good Roku 2 for her summer stay in my basement. I suspect it works even better on that (duh). I don't know if that is the old or new one, however.

I just downgraded two tiers from Time Warner's best consumer service to their cheapest...I swear streaming video through wifi is actually BETTER than it was before. I'm not technical enough to have done before and after readings, but I feel like I was getting majorly screwed for 2 years, $500 gone into thin air.

I put a Tv in my office and hooked up the Roku 2. It is not an HD connection, but still looks really good. Only issue is it makes me link my account each time, but I contacted support, and they are working on a fix.

I don't know about the stick, but regarding the Roku 2, there's an "old" Roku 2 and a "new" Roku 2. I don't know how to tell the difference off the top of my head, but you could probably figure it out pretty quick with a little more research. If you buy refurbished, just be sure it isn't the "old" version. http://www.theverge.com/2015/4/6/8351299/new-roku-streaming-boxes-2015-announced
Important point. The model number is just that -- a model. The Roku 1, 2, 3, 4 and Stick are all still manufactured and sold new and there's a new model every year or so. Amazon pretty clearly labels them 2014 model, 2015 model and so on.

Okay, I have a TV that came with a Roku stick with it. How would I go about getting the app on my TV? I have no idea where to start.

Sorry if this is a dumb question. So with this Roku app, are you getting the exact same content as those of us who get Cyclone.TV as a regular channel via Mediacom?
