I think I've given the thumbs up to everyone who I agree with, especially the ones who went with lesser known roles.

Trying to think of a few that haven't been listed yet, so maybe not my top 5.

Han Solo is too easy. I could do a top 5 just from the original Star Wars trilogy.


I'd go with:
1. Cpt. John H. Miller (Tom Hanks) - Saving Private Ryan
I'm watching Saving Private Ryan right now. Personified an incredible leader in a compelling story about one of the most important eras in this worlds history. I could probably list his entire unit including James Francis Ryan (Iowa) and James Frederick Ryan (Minnesota). Everyone except Upham. I hate that freaking guy.

2. Jules Winfield (Samual L MFing Jackson) - Pulp Fiction
Again I could have gone with a lot of characters in this movie. Jules is the best though

3. Tyler Durden (Brad Pitt and Ed Norton) - Fight Club
Kind of cheating because it's two incredible actors and really two different roles, but I can cheat if I want

4. Detective Somerset (Morgan Freeman) - Se7en
Such a compelling movie and an incredible actor in a gritty role

5. Leonard (Guy Pierce) - Memento
Mostly because I love this movie so much. So unique.

I'm SUCH a big movie fan that narrowing it down is virtually impossible...so I set some parameters. I decided that it had to be characters in movies that I have watched multiple times...so many, in fact, that I can recite their lines if I wanted to. STILL had to narrow it down quite a bit...
