First recruits are decommitting, players leaving the team, and now coaches are jumping ship. Campbell seems to be running on fumes now.

I was at the Ticket Office yesterday and saw him loading stuff into his car, but I thought he was just going on some sort of recruiting trip. He seemed to be a "glue guy" who helped keep pieces together for this coaching staff. Wasn't he one of the guys that Campbell called right away to help him make the transition here?

Wonder what this will mean for Mitchell Meyers? Hopefully, his role will become even more important.

Assuming you mean Mitchell Moore?

It's a good move for him if he wants to be on the field. A friend of mine was a "passing game analyst" in the NFL and hated it. He is now a position coach in the CFL and life's good. Coaches want to be on the field not in an office.

I hope Campbell loses an assistant or two a year and they prove themselves to be solid in their next stop. It will only cause good coaches to want to come here. Seems like the best head coaches are really good at nurturing assistants.

How much on an impact will this have on our recruiting? I know the coaches are amazing recruiters, but I assume Kuceyeski's job was finding the talent for the coaches to target? Sorry, I don't know exactly what a director of scouting does.

Coordinates events relating to recruiting. Travel arrangements, food, schedules for on campus visits, housing etc.....In most programs recruiting is driven by position coaches who present candidates to coordinators who then ask for coaches blessing to offer the kid.

Thanks. That sounds like a pretty simple job. Maybe I will submit a resume tomorrow.

With as hard as these guys recruit, it's pretty challenging and I just gave a small sampling of all they do in this position. Maybe a travel agent on extreme steroids!!!

I'm a glass half full guy, I'm spinning it this move, Campbell is getting people promotions before he's even coached a game here
