What is your favorite/most memorable event at Jack Trice/Cyclone Stadium?

As a freshman in 1975, my very first game was actually the very first game played in the Jack; vs AirForce. I'm sorry, but I was not used to that. having grown up in IowaCity and attending Kinnick games all my life, it was a little underwhelming and the (inside the stadium) atmosphere couldn't compare.
Of course you get the Wind Tunnel effect, matter of fact it was so windy for the AirForce game, I saw the longest FG completed in Jack history by the AF kicker - a 63 yarder; he kicked it with a strong North wind, probably about 25-mph just before half-time. We did win the game.

I know what you mean, I always thought it was so appropriate that it was at that time Cyclone Stadium.

Memorable, though not in a good way. K-State game in 1999. We're up 28-7 and I went to the parking lot at halftime and proceeded to get wrecked. Woke up in our tailgating bus hours later parked at the house. I come inside and the party is raging. I'm ready to party after our big win over a ranked team..........

Yeah I was there too and I didn't enjoy the final outcome.

Rushed the field against Colorado my freshman year. I was shoulder to shoulder with Alexander Robinson as the crowd sang the fight song. And I remember him saying to himself "this is awesome".

Pink Floyd and U2, Troy Davis going crazy against Mizzou. Watching my first game in 1978, beat San Diego State. But the one thing that will be etched in my memory is The game against Kansas State, November 9th, 1991. We were not good, big surprise. It had snowed the night before, we had crappy seats in the upper level. Kansas State gets the ball first, proceeds to drive down the field and score. There was a section of Kansas State fans in front and to the right of us that went nuts, then, all of a sudden, you see a snowball get lobbed into their section. After that, it was an avalanche. I saw some poor sap get pegged in the head about ten times. Funniest thing I ever saw. They ended up winning 37-7, but that first touchdown was the only one they cheered for.

My first game, too, was the first at JTS. I was a freshman at ISU for the first night game at JTS, a near-upset of OU, and the game was on ESPN (and not many games were on TV back then). Saw lots of bad losses over the years, but my girlfriend--now my wife of 27 years--did go to games with me during our senior year. She hated football, but she still tailgates and sits by me and our kids in the stadium.

We have seen most of the big upsets except for the OSU game in 2011 because my daughter was home on break from (gasp!) Iowa. And we have seen lots of "not so good" games, too.

Saw the Stones, Paul McCartney, etc.

But the best experiences are hopefully the ones to come. Hoping for once in my life to witness an undefeated home season at JTS. If graduation stays at JTS, my hope is to witness one of my other children make the choice to attend and graduate from ISU as their mother and I did.

'11 OSU game has to win for me. '05 Tornado game, Nebraska '02, and the '05 and '11 Iowa games would round out my top 5.

When we beat Nebraska in 2002. I saw the game with my dad - one of those father-son moments that I don't think either of us will forget.

The two moments I remember the best (only going to ISU games for the past 6 years) was the Nebraska game in 2010 with the failed fake PAT at the end, and the Iowa game in 2011 when Steele Jantz really showed up and we won it in 3OT. I'm sure OSU 2011 would top this list if I was there too.

I also remember nearly losing a limb to frostbite during Kansas 2013. At least, it felt that way! And I have never been in a football stadium, before or since, as angry at officials as when Jeremiah George's fumble recovery didn't count against Texas in 2013.

Didn't see Pink Floyd because someone had to work so I bit the bullet and let the others go.

I think have got to go with the Marvin Sieler win over Nebraska. Watching those Husker lineman walking to the line with their heads down in the second half was a thing of beauty. They were beat and you could see it.

I was 14 years old and had been going to games for as long as I can remember. My sister was a student at the time and was dating a guy who attended Westmar College in LeMars. At some point during the game I went from my parents seats to stand with my sis in the student section. I'll never forget the Seiler run.

As time was ticking off the clock late in the game we jumped the wall and lined the field. My sister leaned down and said to meet at the Victory Bell by the locker room since she knew we'd get separated. Before the clock hit zero the rush for the goalposts was on.

I'm not sure how much time passed but as the field started to clear I made my way to the Victory Bell. I saw her boyfriend there and we exchanged high fives and hugs with every random person around. My sister never showed up.

We started walking around looking for her. I noticed an ambulance on the field and a crowd surrounding something down on the field. We joked that, knowing my sisters luck, it was her on the ground (she got in a car accident earlier that week and was EXTREMELY lucky to be unharmed).

As I got closer to the scene I saw a team of people working on my sister, trying to help her breath. She was purple and not breathing. Someone behind her fell and grabbed a hold of her, taking her down as well. The rush of students kept piling on. Something was forced against her trachea and caused it to collapse.

She was in intensive care for a few days and remained in the hospital for quite some time. She's recovered 100% now. At the time I didn't realize just how scary the situation was but I know I'm lucky my sister is alive and well with three kids.

It was so surreal that Rhoads did that but I loved the call. He was wide open! It sucks because had we won that game, Rhoads would have taken us to 4 bowls in 4 years.

Two of mine already mentioned would be the Tornado game with CU, and The Run vs TT.

One that I haven't seen yet is the win over Iowa in 2001. With the original game date in September cancelled due to 9/11, the game was played the Saturday after Thanksgiving for the only time I can remember. Both teams were sitting on 6 wins, and as I recall there was some doubt as to whether either one would get a bid without the 7th win. Celebrating a bowl birth and drinking up some hawk tears was a great way to finish off a long holiday weekend.

23-3 ... 2005 Iowa game. Iowa was ranked 8 and we thumped them...

If I had been at the OSU game when they were #2, that probably would have been better.
