What's missing is taking shots up field and being an up tempo exciting offense. The second scoring drive was 2 up field pass plays. Why do anything else until they stop you? It would also open up your running game.

A lot of short runs to nowhere, looks like the play calling and offense of the CPR era.

I honestly believe ISU will come back from this....I don't feel the play calling on offense is bad....just poor execution and too many penalties. A lot can be corrected. Wasn't expecting a lot from this year

Yep, no bowl in 76. Peach Bowl was '77.

this is what happens when you hire an OC who has never called plays or called a game at any level. This is the Big 12, you NEED an experience proven play caller to compete in this league.

Uni also had a bad fumble. Our O-line needs to show up and the defense needs to learn to wrap up

we have 27 yards rushing with one of the best running backs in the country and Joel Lanning can run too. That is really sad.
We have several deep threats also. Just the same crap is all.

Would you guys quit killing him on the timeout. If uni actually wanted time to come up with a play they could of called a timeout. Just unfortunate that way it worked out

He deserves some criticism on the TO. UNI was perfectly content to kick the FG as evidenced by the fact they actually kicked the ball right after our TO. They could have used their TO to come up with a play but they weren't going to do so.

Calling the TO either gave them a second to take a breath and think about going for it or it just pissed them off and they decided to go for it out of spite. Either way, the result of MC's TO was changing the fact they were going to kick to going for the TD.
