This may have its own thread already but the ISU offense looked like the it has been the last couple of years. Same formations, same plays, same issues. How many times does the Read Option have to be run and not work before the OC gives up on it? Also, it didn't look like play action was used off of it either. If read option was called 25 times, then the setup for play action is there. Then there were the bubble screens again. Fine, use that a couple of times to bring the corners up tighter so that it leave the long ball open. Routes seemed to be the same, not much across the middle unless it was way down field. Tight ends were not used and a lack of a power running game wasn't there. Please line up under center a few times a game. Let the RB get some acceleration going before the ball is handed off, then maybe the window to hit the hole is still there by the time they get to the line.
I know its new staff with a first time OC, but the offense looked much like it did in years past in regards to formations and play calling.
