Way to shake off a bad start to alot of guys. Lazard and Jones made some plays when they got going. Good job boys!
I echo the puzzlement about going for 2 when it was 28-24.
I think that sums it up. Kinda like that warm beer and cold pizza on Sunday morning! It was ugly and it was only against KU but it's nice to see an ISU team fight back and not fold once down early. This game started exactly like the game 2 years ago and we know how that turned out.
It was only the 3rd down. All we would have had to do was call a TO with 1 second left on the clock and then hike the ball and take a knee and it would have been over anyways. Clock mgmt was actually good, assuming MC told Park to stand there as long as he could until the defense came after him. Thanks to the refs for giving us a 41 second play clock in the last play. Our time management sucks.
Speaking of clock management...Hey did you guys know Travis Ford coaches at Saintt Louis now? Why would anyone hire him?

I agree with going for 2 when up by 4 was a dumb move.Park had the ball snapped at 4 or 5 seconds a couple of times. Good thing he delayed taking the knee and stood there for a bit and took a few seconds off the clock.
Dumb move going for 2 when we were up 4. Kick the PAT. Constantly going for 2 after missing a PAT just digs a deeper hole.
