Also ISU's last non-con loss at Hilton was in November 2011 to UNI. I know the schedule hasn't been too tough but five years without dropping a home non-conference game is very solid.

Fair, but that is different because we see Phog Allen once a year and play tough there. I think that is way different than a team coming in, that gets 1 maybe 2 (non-tournament) high-quality non-conference games a season, and has never played in Hilton Magic. If Cincinnati was going into Phog Allen on Thursday, I would be willing to bet that The Phog's atmosphere would have been brought up.

Yeah, I agree it's different when it's a place you're used to and have been to before. I guess I was semi-trolling, but it's just something that I wouldn't expect to be a major concern in an online forum.

Cincy was the first game without Naz, right? Or was it his last game? I know it was somewhere right around there last year.

Also, apparently they have a chick named Jennifer that plays for them. More often than not Jennifers are hot, so that should be fun.

The Bearcats have a good program but they'll get a dose of Hilton with Matt getting back into the groove. If we play good to great defense we'll win going away.

Jenifer, they had high hopes for her scoring and distributing last year, but she's disappointed. Evans out of that class is going to be a star though.

I love monte and know this won't be popular, but I think he misses Georges more than anyone. He seems to be making less wise decisions with the ball so far, caught in places wth the ball where I don't usually see him. He has quite a ways to go to be all American. He needs to be able to consistently make a jumper. I also think AA's take over a game when needed and I haven't seen monte do that in his first three years. I understand his role isndiffere

He won't be an AA this year. Not first team, anyway. Still think he will have a great year but he's adjusting.

Technically he's already an all American.

I've never been a big fan of Monte because I thought A/TO was an overrated skill. The thing is, he was still able to put up a 9/1 A/TO ratio against Gonzaga. He's finishing better at the rim and knocking down jumpers at a good rate. I think he can have a huge year, but maybe maxes out as a 3rd Team AA.

You thought dishing out a large number of assists with out turning the ball over is an over rated skill for a PG? Are you missing a pirate ;)?

I did. I'm a big believer in the guy that actually puts the ball in the basket.

I just think that putting the ball in the basket is an incredible skill. Hoiberg knew it when he recruited Georges. Monte is not that great at putting it in the basket.
