Minnesota has a bright future, the bulls don't. He definitely made a big mistake not taking that job
I am not sure that was an option for him.

Very bright future. However, the Wolves' D has been awful with Thibs as the coach. Can't imagine how bad it would be with Freddy at the helm. That being said, the trade-off to watch Fred utilize KAT and try to get Wiggins to stop shooting long 2's would be fun.
The average tenure for a coach in the NBA or any professional league is not long. They gave him a **** ton of money to coach a ****** roster that wont make it passed the first round of the playoffs/ might not even make the playoffs. He wont last long
$25m over 5 years
At some point, the Bulls players need to shut up and play. It's sad that they can't see themselves that they just aren't very good. Chicago is currently 8th in the East, and as I look at all the teams ahead of them I can't point to any one and say Chicago is more talented than. Next year Chicago will have a new coach but these same players will still ***** and moan.
A bargain!I make a fraction of that and I'm stressed out pretty much all the time....so I'd probably settle for $24mil over 5.
Also, it doesn't help that the Chicago media helps fuel this as well. The media in Chicago is extremely critical of non championship caliber teams.
He could have had the Twolves job even earlier really. Flip would have given it to him.As an Iowa State fan you should be thankful that Fred took the Bull's job and didn't hold out for the Timberwolves...
These threads are like a cancer.
1. "Things aren't looking good for Fred."
2. "Hope he succeeds but it was obvious he wouldn't going in."
3. "Should have taken the Wolves job."
4. "The NBA sucks. Don't know why he took the job."
5. "If Hoiberg gets fired, and this is completely hypothetical, but do you take him back if you're JP?"
6. "College is more difficult to coach. Knew he wouldn't cut it."
7. "Heart health."
8. "He left our roster in flames."
9. "Still don't know why he left."
10. "$$$."
11. "GarPax."
12. "Hoiberg to KU."
13. "Prohm is better."
14. "He obviously never earns his players' respect wherever he goes."
15. "McKay."
16. "Why did he go?"
Feel free to add more.
Thread title kind of scared me since I had already seen the Rondo thing. Always will hope the best for him and his family.
The Minnesota job wasn't open when FH went to the Bulls.Minnesota has a bright future, the bulls don't. He definitely made a big mistake not taking that job
