When your best big is 6'6" and he isn't always the best at D, it kinda limits what you can do. You have to make choices, and sometimes those choices don't pan out. Defense is much better this year than it has been the last few years.

I will give that our defense is much improved, but what difference does that make if we arent winning games? We have 8 losses already and its not even February yet.

Who cares how many stud recruits he has coming, the guy cant coach.

The comment was he cant recruit. That's clearly not true. His coaching will dictate future recruiting.

Prohm will have to develop his guys fast and keep them in the program or the heat will get turned up quickly.

Next year is a rebuilding year which is understandable. However the problem becomes you have a 3 year down trend, which will be used against us in recruiting.

And when I look at the rest of the league, I see tough sledding.

Not sure we can count on OU/Texas sucking for long. Tech, TCU, KSU and Okie State will all be trying to surpass us.

They have some young talent on their rosters too.

Darion Williams - St Johns when Hoiberg left.
Carter - best towel waiver we have.
Ernst - gone
Malou - didn't make it.
Holden - miss
Bowie - Small forward, miss
Burton - Small forward
Lard - in late.
Young - freshman
Kassango - sitting out

ISU is currently 1 for our last 10 big man commits. 3 will be here next year still, but to whiff on that many in a row is terrible. Some is due to Fred leaving, some Prohm misses, who we get this spring will be 100% on Prohm.

I like his recruiting and think when he gets his guys in there, he'll be fine. Need to get at least one or two contributors down low this spring and hope 1 or 2 of Lard, Young, Kassango can step up.

I'll admit, I know Simeon isn't much more than a cheerleader, but I sure as **** hope he's still here next year. I love watching that kid celebrate on the sideline. Even if the game sucks balls he makes me smile watching those celebrations.

Having scholarship players that contribute nothing more than the "happy to just be along for the ride" walk on can't be good for job security.

Yes. Obviously.

We have enough cheerleaders. They sit on the baseline behind the hoop.

Does it get tiring being you? I feel like it must.

Campbell loses a bunch of games late and goes 3-9 but brings in a couple of our best recruiting classes ever and it's "football school!" "a storm is brewing" "can't wait til football!"

Prohm gets a 4 seed and Sweet 16 then loses some close games late but brings in one of our best recruiting classes ever and it's "F*** THAT GUY!"

Our mbb program has spoiled us.

We just had the worse home loss in 7 years. Did you think it was going to rainbows and unicorns tonight?

This exactly, he took a stacked team with an All American player and turned them into a 6th place team last year, followed by an NIT team. This is getting completely ridiculous. He wasnt even good at Murray, 1 tournament in 4 years.

I'm not defending Prohm at all because he deserves criticism but what has Murray done since he left? I honestly don't know and I'm too pissed to look

I think Prohm can coach. He can obviously recruit with Wigginton and Lewis coming in. I just hope he's the right fit here

He also had the luxury of an NBA point guard (in the Ohio Valley) every year he was at Murray State. I would hope he could win.

Look you have to give him 5 years, if you fire him 2 years into the job you probably lose another year or 2 of getting higher end recruits, and having to settle for lower end guys

That would make 4 years in 6, where ISU whiffed in recruiting. You wanna send a program to the bottom more or less go without recruiting for 4 years.

Yeah he's a good recruiter. Like I said, not sure he's a fit here but I'm still supporting him. Next year will be very telling IMO

Or you could have capitalized on the momentum and payed Dana Altman 2.5 million after Fred. JP made his bed and Prohm will likely get all five years.
