Man, there were a handful of times that Young was flashing open on pick-and-rolls, and they NEVER went to him. Would like to have seen him get a couple looks at least. Don't get me wrong, he did the most he could with what he was given tonight and played well.

Agreed, he had great position a lot.

Wasn't sure if this team would get to this record (at least 10-8) or at least this early anyway.

I'm still sticking with being happy they're NCAA-tourney bound.

Everything from here on out is gravy.

One thing--good teams win these types of games, so perhaps we're seeing something legit unfold here toward the end.

We are already in. At this point we are just playing for seeding.
17 wins, I dunno. If we finished 17-13 and then lost the 1st game in the conference tourney, a 17-14 record probably wouldn't do it. We don't have enough quality wins on the ol' resume. Sitting at 18-9 now, I think there is a 90% chance we are in, but one more win should make it a 100% chance.

Ps Monte is a good free throw shooter. He was tired.
I know he was tired.
Still needs to make at least one of those free throws though.
Using tired as an excuse for pretty much anything doesn't float very well. But, then again I'm a sports performance trainer so my mentality is probably a little different than most.

With all do respect, we caught no breaks. Other than a shot after the buzzer, every time down the floor for the last 13 minutes of the game, we got called for a foul literally no matter what we did. Straight up, foul, lean into their body, foul, breath on them, foul. It was pretty pathetic. And I normally give the refs the benefit of the doubt but tonight, wow.
They missed a bunch of layups. We missed free throws to ice the game and still won. That's what I was referring to.

JFC, are you ever happy with any ISU sports team?

I'm extremely happy with the win. What makes you think I'm not?

We were very incompetent in the last few minutes of regulation, and again in the last few minutes of OT, pretty much everyone on here knows it, but luckily Tech was even worse thankfully.

That doesn't mean I'm not thrilled with the win. I LOVE IT!!! There. Does that make you feel better?

They are human.

It's freaking annoying to get on here after a big road win with people ******** about how bad we are.

At least all of these road wins help to offset our poor non-conference performance. 5 Big 12 road wins? Yowsa.

Glad that we're playing for seeding now and not sweating out Selection Sunday.

ISU shooting....
10-18 3 ptrs in first half
2-6 3 ptrs in second half

Either Techs defense really turned it up or they focused on senior basketball when it counted and work to score the highest percentage shots in the second half.

Great win considering the refs were giving them so many ticky tack fouls on drives it was crazy... now won't sleep until midnight.....

Solomon Man of the match? Loved his game, but I don't think so. Monte was the man tonight. Matt was tough and while we all watch Naz's shooting, he was the guy with the toughest defensive assignment.

I get that, but right now, I don't want to focus on logical reasoning. I want to complain about how frustrating it was to watch our defense get picked apart by the 6th, 7th, and 8th men, and then tomorrow I'll come back to reality. To be fair though, our free throws from December/early January to now have gotten SO much better. We lose this type of game a month and a half ago.
