Terrence Lewis highlights

I know it's just CCL, but unless nobody else is added to the roster (doubtful we land anyone at this point), I think Lewis has a very good chance of starting over Babb.

That would be very good news, and that's not a knock on Babb. The biggest thing Lewis will bring is outside shooting, which we obviously lost a lot of.

Does anyone know if Wigginton is playing in the final games?

Last I heard tomorrow was iffy (meaning probably not playing) but probably in the playoffs which start either Sunday or Thursday depending how his team does tomorrow night. Hopefully he gets on the court for a game or two. Anxious to see him play.

If I find out his schedule I will post it in this thread.

I don't think predicting Lard to start is expecting too much out of him. Young beat out Bowie and Holden to get in the starting lineup. I don't think the thought of Lard beating out Brase and Beverly is crazy. I don't know if he'll start right away but at some point I think he does.
I doubt he starts. Depends on who else is playing. To repeat myself, you cannot start Young, Lard And Babb, unless you think you can win scoring 50 points per game .... no offense. The best scorer between Beverly and Brase will start ... imo. I am betting on Beverly, although I have never seen him play.

While I don't think Lard starts, I think both Young and Lard can stretch a defense. If you have Babb running point, you have quite a few options on the perimeter as you can play both Wigginton and Jackson off the ball or go big with Beverly at the 3. Young and Lard may not share the floor at the same time early this next season, but they do have some complimentary skills and some offensive flexibility.

Very good summary, plus add the skill-set of Brase and Lewis in the mix, I am not doing any over-hyping but I think this team may surprise a few....

You can if the 3 combine to average 30 points per game. But doubtful that Lard will start.

Any further word on who will or will not be at CCL tonight?

Nothing official on most guys but no Wigginton for sure.

The usual suspects have been Shayok, Lard, Jacobson, Jackson, Young and Lewis. Babb hit or miss. Beverly TBA.

Tonight is the last regular season games before the playoffs start on Sunday. Game 2 (6:45) is Hinterland (Jackson) vs. Sparta (Shayock, Lard). Winner has chance at the 2 seed. Should be a really good game.

There are your starters IMO..from sounds of it Brase recovery well ahead of schedule. Brase is a kid who knows pick n roll and can hit the 3..he's also big and good rebounder.

Lewis
Lard
J Long
Beverly

Off bench

Only one problem I see this far..Who is coming off bench to spell LW or DJ?

I can see this team being one of the better defensive teams we've seen in a while.

Babb can slide to PG when Beverly/Lard/Lewis are inserted.

I agree for the most part with this. If Brase is healthy there is no doubt in my mind he'll start. He's got some Niang to his game IMO, but taller.

And there is no way Lewis starts over Babb, that's just ridiculous IMO. Lewis will be very valuable off the bench because at times we'll need more outside shooting, but Babb is too experienced to not start for this team this year IMO.

And you bring up a good question about who will replace LW or DJ off the bench for us? As someone said, Babb could slide over there and do it when one of the two needs a breather. I doubt we ever see both LW and DJ on the bench at the same time.

I'd almost rather see us bring in a capable backup 1-2 guard than Talley, but I guess you can't be too picky. There's definitely a lot of room for AJ Green next year in this backcourt though.
