Now that we have 1700 with Mike & Mike every morning, i am curious as to which show people prefer to listen to:

Cotlar & Co on 1460 or Mike & Mike on 1700 or satellite

Cotlar because I'd rather hear local sports. He's not the best and can get off topic sometimes during slow times but still would rather hear local stuff.

Someone should start up CF radio in the morning! lol

I won't vote because I have never listened to Cotlar, but I do watch Mike & Mike on ESPN2 nearly every morning. I really liked them at first, but they're starting to get old. They have great interviews and discussions, but the whole Mike Golic is a big bully and Mike Greenburg is a scrawny wimp has run it's course. Plus, they seem to have the same gimmicks day-in and day-out. I mainly watch their show to listen to the interviews, not for what either of them have to say.

I check in with Cotlar to see who's on or what they're talking about.

4 out of 5 mornings, I'm quickly switching to Mike & Mike..

Mondays I don't even bother with the "Raceday on Fox guy". Thursdays I might listen to Pascuzi (??). Wed's "Where's the beef" is an automatic switch too, as is Bogey Brothers. Friday I'll usually listen to the Datebook guy for weekend happenings.

Pretty much need an ISU guest to keep me on Cotlar. And unless there's ISU talk on KXNO, I don't listen at all outside the car.

I like where your heads at. Stream it at CF.com...it's obvious there's plenty of people on this site while at work every day that would listen.

Most of the time I listen to Cotlar and depending upon who he has on or the topic I switch over to 102.5 FM. While, Cotlar & Co. can be annoying regardless of who they have on... I'd rather hear about local sports.

I listen to some of both.....I wish Cotlar would be less scripted, it sometimes creates a very choppy interview, but usually his guests are so good that it turns out alright. I'm still becoming accustomed to M&M, so I don't have much yay or nay to say about them.

In this order...
(1) Mike & Mike
(2) Sounds of Nature -- Thunderstorm
(3) Musical selections from "The Birds"
(4) Crickets at 3 a.m.
(5) Cotlar

When I first read the title of this thread, I seriously interpreted "Cotlar on Mike & Mike" and about fainted. :biglaugh:

Cotlar if I'm really bored and want to see if anything quasi-interesting is being discussed. Mike and Mike if I want some national sports info and to be entertained.

Both, watch M&M while I eat breakfast, and listen to Cotlar on the way to work. Mitch makes me listen to Cotlar more right now.

Thing I hate about M&M is one of them is gone every other day.

I'd rather rupture my ear drum with a Q-tip than listen to Colter.

Who can take these to geeks seriously.

When I got out of college I moved to Des Moines as a night stock manager at Hy-Vee. Jeff Cohn was one of the guys that worked on my crew along with his dad. I remember him leaving everyday by 4am so he could go to WHO (where he worked at the time). Nice guy but very quiet.

It was a big change in lifestyle going from the Cedar Falls Hy-Vee (yes I worked with Kurt Warner) filled with hot chicks to the East Euclid Hy-Vee at night dealing with meth heads.

As with most sports radio...that'll change come football. I voted for Cotlar.

Just kidding. Mike and Mike.

I really prefer Mike & Mike. They just seem to have a much better flow and back and forth. On that same subject, I think that Drake is going to win the NCAA championship this year, no questions :biglaugh:

I have no problem with Cotlar. I think most people on here would rag on anyone that was doing a show. We always want better.

I watch Mike and Mike before I leave, turn on the radio to Cotlar and switch back and forth pretty frequently.... Unlike what others have said, the Bogey Brothers is one of the few segments I really enjoy though.

Cotlar just sounds so low rent. He sounds like a guy you would expect to hear on a small market AM sports radio program, which is good, because that's exactly what KXNO is.

He just seems like he's just some guy pretending to be a sports radio host, but he'll go back to his job at the CPA office when he's through "finding himself." He always seems like he's just going through the motions, and is generally uninspired and cliched.

My opinion, though. At least he's less obnoxious than Colin Cowherd.
