No need. They have no inherent advantages that make them better than Iowa or Wisconsin. For the foreseeable future they're Iowa lite.

It was more a comment about the Nebby AD. After they came back and beat Iowa in 2014 on Black Friday and then fired Pelini the next day he made a comment about having to evaluate where Iowa was as a football program when making the decision to axe Bo.

I agree if Frost can deliver as a head coach. However, Frost may not want to go back to Nebraska. He may want to wait for a warm weather opening. Not sure. Same with Campbell.
I think you're right and I'd bet that if Frost had real interest he'd be there already. The same Nebraska that fired Solich will never get the coach they want. The coach they want is Urban or Saban or Shaw. The problem is...they'd never come to Lincoln. Which is why I believe that the UNL fanbase must be beginning to understand this. They say that they're happy in the B1G and I'm beginning to believe them. Because being in the B1G means that they'll never be "Nebraska" again.

Les Miles is still out there, and his son is on the team. If I'm Nebraska, I've already called him.
True, and it'd be a solid hire but probably not one that could yield a big ten championship. Les is ~64 and I'm skeptical of his ability to recruit to Lincoln.

We play a fun game when Nebraska comes to town....and count their fans still wearing Starter jackets. I'd bet dollars to donuts it's more than every other game combined. I usually get pretty drunk somewhere around 50-60 and lose interest.

They're the Uncle Rico of college football. The 36 year old that still shows up to High school parties and tells them about his big homecoming game 20 years ago.

And, sorry to be a d*ck but g**d*** they've got to be the ugliest fanbase in America. The crowd shots at Nebraska games...woof.

They talked about this on the Morning Rush this AM. It was difficult to understand most of what Travis was trying to say as he likely had a mouthful of Husker *****. He'll tell you he's a Hawk fan, but you can almost hear that fat turds pants getting tight when he starts talking Bugeater football.

I grew up in Nebraska and attended ISU because of the engineering program. I was a husker fan growing up and during college. After graduating and moving back to Nebraska, I became a Cyclone fan only. I had to be away from husker fans and around Cyclone fans to see just how delusional and annoying husker fans are. As the two programs move in opposite directions, I enjoy watching college football with my husker friends more and more.

This pretty much exactly describes me as well.

I'll stick up for Travis here because he has no problems railing on Nebraska. In fact, Nebraska fans can't stand him because when he was an Omaha media member he didn't cater to what Husker fans wanted to hear. Travis has been on the record numerous times since he's been on KXNO stating that Nebraska's days are done but their fans still can't quite grasp it. I get that he picked Nebby to go 10-2 this year, which was kind of a reach though.

This^^

My brother-in-law has two kids and one of his boys actually prefers the Cyclones. But he refuses to buy him any Cyclone gear and makes him wear Husker crap. I would buy my nephew some Cyclone gear, but not worth the family drama. I know my BIL would just be a big bag of dicks about it.

I wish I was able to pick up FM 92.3 Z-92 out of Omaha here in Ames. The Todd N Tyler show is freaking hilarious!! Whenever I go through the bug eater state that is what I turn to. They will bash on anything even the Huskers. Their podcast are pretty good also!!

it is really sad that the people in Nebraska are so hung up on a football team. they can't get over that they ae only a second tier team . a terrible move to the Big 10,will never be anything in that conference

My ten year old daughter just bought me an ISU starter jacket while at garage sales with her grandpa. Its a blue one with the twisted chicken on the back. She was so proud and exicited, I'll have to wear it sometime.

I've got to disagree. Guess what today's topic on the Morning Rush was? Nebraska. Every time he tries to compare Iowa trying to break through to that next level, he always brings up Nebraska. I get it, he lives there (which in itself is ridiculous to have him "radio-conference" in to a Des Moines radio show), but it's really not relevant to many of us in Central Iowa, so him constantly bringing up Nebraska is a great indicator of his blackshirt chub.

Guess who the Fanatics talked about yesterday? Nebraska! Guess who Miller talked about yesterday? Nebraska! Guess who Jimmy B and TC talked about yesterday? Nebraska! Everyone is bringing up Nebraska because that program falling apart is a big topic that a lot of folks (Iowa & Iowa State fans) in central Iowa are interested in. Say what you want about Travis but I've listened to that show for years and he is by no means a Nebraska apologist.
