The Cyclones are the Bane of the Big 12. By that I mean Cyclone football was born in a dark pit and have spent their entire life there, like Bane from The Dark Knight Rises. Maybe someday Campbell can get us out of the bottomless hole that the Cyclones were born in and have been there ever since. And maybe on that day, we will exact a terrible revenge on the entirety of civilization for every horrible thing they did to us. But that someday may not be tonight. It doesn't look like it at this point, anyway. Go Cyclones. I'll stay with you until time expires and then will look for you next week and will expect you to win just as I always do. GO Cyclones!
The opportunities were there. Just weren’t good enough to overcome the edge that they had on defense (needed a great game by Park and clearly didn’t get it). Montgomery has to be a larger part of the game plan too.
Offense sucked ass. 3 possessions started in Texas territory and no pts? .defense was just fine. Park carried over his too high of throws from Akron to tonight. Big opportunity pissed down the leg.
Probably the first time I've been upset with the coaching staff since Campbell started. That offensive playcalling. I mean... damn.
Welp. No bowl game this year I'm afraid. That was one of our more winnable games on the schedule. Would like to see some of our younger guys get some xp and touches (like David Montgomery).
But Montgomery was getting enough where we could have kept the Texas D more honest if we had utilized him. Instead, the Texas D knew were were throwing on every down, and while Park played bad, it's not like he had much of a chance when the defense was waiting for him.
Well, at least DM had two bye weeks and will be fresh for next Saturday.
Defense was great. Tom Manning better figure out how to call a game or be out of a job. Pathetic scheme against an aggressive defense all night. Montgomery getting 9 carries in a close game is absolutely ******* inexcusable.
I wonder if Troy Davis would have got his yards if he only got 10 carries a game. I doubt if Montgomery even worked up a sweat. I think he is the kind of back that wants and needs several carries in a row
Gotta give Heacock some credit. Our defense outplayed our offense tonight.
Out of all the receivers I think Lazard had the best game. He didn’t drop anything at least.
