If Park would have made the throws he normally makes, we'd be singing a different story. The receivers were open. He just couldn't hit them tonight.

But since he wasn't, there is no reason DM got as few touches as he did.

I would love to hear what Manning has to say about his play calling. Park had a rough night, but to continue to ask him to throw the ball every play is asking for a disaster. Hopefully Park can come out of this game with his confidence. I'm putting a lot of this disaster on Manning.

Anyone calling for Noland is still stuck in the Rhoads era. Can't pull Park now, but he REALLY needs to stay in the pocket longer and step up.

Oline not good enough yet. Just isnt. Its getting there. Defense played very well however.

Yeah, it starts there for sure. Park played poorly but he had no time right off the bat and it got in his head. Whatever game plan you design, Montgomery needs a minimum of twenty touches.

I think we thought that they thought that we'd be using Montgomery so we thought if they thought that that it'd be good to confuse them and pass every down because we thought they'd never see it coming.

Didn't work.

Don't overthink it next time. When you rip off a 9 yard rush on the first series with your best player, and he only gets 8 more carries.... well, I don't know. But it's frustrating.

Great job out of the defense.

It's only confusing if you think about it too much, like the coaching staff did. They were intimidated by the logo on the hat and ended up deciding we couldn't run, even without trying. Even if you don't get big yards, the run, screens, it keeps the other team honest.

Our staff strayed away from basic football, freaked out and it seemed to resonate through the entire offense tonight.

I will never say the better team lost, because that is not the case here, but we had opportunities, Texas was giving us the game and we refused to take advantage.

They dominated the line of scrimmage. The pocket was constantly closing quickly and Park kept panicking and rolling out and making bad decisions

Sometime coaches can watch too much film, SC put up like 70 yards rushing for the game that went into 2 overtimes.

Seems we just felt we could not run the ball from the outset.

Also the other problem is Texas with them blitzing so much made it tougher for Montgomery to release dude was doing lots of blitz pick up tonight

Park heard footsteps all night even sitting on the sideline, mentally dude was so upset he could not execute.

The new O-Line looked like well a new o-line tonight.

Texas shut down USC, who has a **** load of skill, I thought we would struggle on offense, but we had opportunities.

Receivers really, really, really need to make the big catch. The drop at the UT 19 was a killer. DB fell down catch it you walk into the endzone

We've got to start putting up, or shutting up now. This looked eerily similar to a Rhoads-led program game, and that is not good. This game was a big one, not because Texas is great, but to get over a hump mentally. I agree with many posters before that we played scared tonight, for some reason.

A CPR team would of lost this game 38-7. I'm actually pleasantly surprised at how well our D played tonight being on the field for 2/3 of the game and getting the ball ran right up the gut constantly.
