They aren't playing for free
How much are they taking home vs the risk of physical damage?
We want to bury Park, but I'm not sure we have all of the facts
They aren't playing for free
He also has a newborn. Football, school and family should be before "entertainment."That may be, but until it is removed I would prefer our starting QB and captain prioritize football over getting high. Doesn't seem like too much to ask.
I highly doubt his extra curricular activities had anything to do with his passing trajectory.I don't disagree, but when your passes are as high as your quarterback there is a problem.
That's a good point. I don't know if he's dealing with chronic pain. Hell, I don't even know if his leave has anything to do with a failed drug test.Unless this is self medicating to handle the pain of playing football for free....for our entertainment?
It's d1 football, they'll take Joseph Stalin if he can throw for 400.
I agree with this a lot. I've got no problem with medicinal or recreational legalization. However, if the team rules/laws say it's not allowed, then it should be pretty cut and dry.I fully support legalization and agree that it shouldn't get a player suspended, but that isn't really the issue here. The issue is that Park can't follow the rules... if the rumors are true.
30 percent of the country smokes.
Exactly. It's legal in Colorado but banned in the NFL so Broncos players cannot use it. One is law and one is rule yet they go hand-in-hand.I agree with this a lot. If he has psychological pain marijuana is a far better medicine than those pills they try to give you. Old people need to get over the stigma. 30 percent of the country smokes. Its doing just fine.
Idk the specifics of Park's situation but I can tell you if its just weed than who cares? Free time should be your time.
You can't play the game to how the rules should be... Have to play it to how the rules presently are. That's where Park is going wrong (assuming truth in rumors).I fully support legalization and agree that it shouldn't get a player suspended, but that isn't really the issue here. What past issues did he have? I honestly don't remember anything other than he signed with Georgia out of high school and left for some reason.CMC knew the risk with Park and rolled the dice with him. Park has had issues in the past and seems like they might still be haunting him today. I hope whatever the issue is, he gets help so he can be a great dad to his little girl.
Well, he's good enough to make a living playing football if he decides to, so it should be more than just "entertainment" for him.He also has a newborn. Football, school and family should be before "entertainment."
I don't want to get into a pissing contest about smoking weed. But, the main problem that smoking weed tends to lead to more hard drugs. You can look at all hard drug users and they will almost be certain that they smoked weed. Yes, I'm older than most on here. But, I grew up in the hippy days. I saw all of that. I will say most heavy users back then haven't lead to a well functioning person in the work force. How many of the inter city people have all smoked weed and are on food stamps for generations. Hell, if you think it is okay then start giving it to your small kids and sit around and lead by example. There are reasons that weed is against the Federal Law. Yes, states are opting to allow weed, such as Colorado and the western states. But, these are the liberal states where the state wants to make money. Colorado has seen an increase in car accidents while being high. If you need to be high to function then we are indeed in a world of trouble. If you want to smoke weed take drugs then do it by yourself and not drive or be around others. If you hate the world or hate people like the Las Vegas shooter. Destroy our own life and not others...... We have seen how getting high affected one of own basketball players Bryce Dejean Jones. He had problems while he was here. Then having a family and being in the NBA. He threw it all away by being high and breaking into the wrong apartment.... I how the high was worth it.....
