Just to chip in on the weed issue, since this thread is no longer football related...
Read a stat on weed which was roughly this: ~10% of the users consume ~90% of it. I could not locate the article, it was in the Economist, and I think it was based on Colorado or one of the other states that legalized it. So what this tells you is a lot of people can use it with no problems. But for some, getting stoned is all they do, and their lives are basically wasted literally and figuratively.
So the argument going on in this thread is pointless. It's NOT an either/or thing, that weed is fine or weed is terrible. Some people CAN smoke and it's not a problem. Others smoke a LOT and it IS a problem. It's a lot like alcohol, except the bad effects are different.
I've got to the point where I am OK with legalization; it's less bad than prohibition and the associated criminal activity. But we need to spend some of that tax money on helping people who do develop problems. We don't do a very good job of that as a society, helping addicts.
