If JP failed 2nd test then he would be suspended for several games..hence he is not. They may have tested him or tried to again and he knew he would fail and therefore took leave from team to avoid failing and being 3-4games or whatever it is..

But that’s just a guess..

I sure hope she brought a change of pants; she just lost a gamble.

Weed like any other substance when used for rec purposes isn't that big of deal, but when it becomes a lifestyle, like it does for some, and harms other areas of you life then it is an issue.

Unlike other substances, weed does very little harm no matter how much you use. In fact, it's extremely helpful if you suffer from mental health issues like anxiety or depression. I take CBD oil, which is a legal cannabinoid, and my stress is way down. I've medicated with the real stuff before too and had similar results. Less stress, anxiety, depression. I feel like I can function again.

Comparatively I also tried drinking to relieve stress and the results are far worse, physically and mentally.

Does weed help with sleeping disorder? I take advil pm and I have to take like 2 blue pills in order to get 4 hrs of sleep and I have nightmares with it. Maybe I should try weed. This is not a joke though.

Try Melatonin. Worked great for me (better than simply sleep, and gave me a more natural sleepy feeling).

Unless this is self medicating to handle the pain of playing football for free....for our entertainment?

He's not playing for free, for our entertainment. He is getting school, room, board and everything paid for. Some even enjoy playing for the love of the game, like a walk on quarterback.

Just to chip in on the weed issue, since this thread is no longer football related...

Read a stat on weed which was roughly this: ~10% of the users consume ~90% of it. I could not locate the article, it was in the Economist, and I think it was based on Colorado or one of the other states that legalized it. So what this tells you is a lot of people can use it with no problems. But for some, getting stoned is all they do, and their lives are basically wasted literally and figuratively.

So the argument going on in this thread is pointless. It's NOT an either/or thing, that weed is fine or weed is terrible. Some people CAN smoke and it's not a problem. Others smoke a LOT and it IS a problem. It's a lot like alcohol, except the bad effects are different.

I've got to the point where I am OK with legalization; it's less bad than prohibition and the associated criminal activity. But we need to spend some of that tax money on helping people who do develop problems. We don't do a very good job of that as a society, helping addicts.

My wife has a chronic illness with many symptoms similar to fibromyalgia. Anyone here know of anyone who has experienced relief from thier symptoms with medical marijuana? She also has a sleep disorder to boot, and is generally miserable/tired most days. Id like her to take a trip to colorado for a week and use medicinally just to see what happens.
