Not to be a smart ass but if it does "sell out" wouldn't it be the first non UNI/Iowa game to be sold out since the SEZ was completed?
It would. It's also arguably the biggest game in Ames, Iowa in 15 years.

This isn’t an attack, but there’s nothing wrong with getting the word out that anyone that’s a Cyclone fan or football fan should go to the game. Peer pressure is needed when you’re trying to reverse decades of indifference.
Like the poster above mentioned, you’ve got people that have established leisure activities that come before ISU football in October. Giving them a hard time about missing the first top-25 matchup in 12 years is justified if we want to have a good program.
This is why it’s bull **** to say we cannot do anything to help JP retain a good staff.
Lame fans. Hopefully they’ll get it at some point.I tried the 'peer pressure' thing...it failed. Can't even beat out opening day of pheasant hunting....bumbed. Oh well, the rest of us need to be twice as loud. Lets GOOOOO!!!
This time? When was the other time?Hopefully all of those that said we would never have a problem fillings up the remodeled stadium once we started winning show up this time
if people are going to go to the game they'll buy tickets. discounting tickets won't sway anyone who isn't already planning to go.
Lame person? No. Great hunter, for sure. Lame fans, absolutely. Fair-weather fans in every sense.Pet peeve-calling others lame because they have different priorities than you that don't fulfill your priorities.
Awesome... the typical old people versus student attendance pissing match.
I'll give you a hint...when the stadium isn't full...both groups are to blame. It isn't one or the other.

Agree.Sure it will, people love thinking they are getting a discount or a good deal. All comes done to some advertising.
I don't think anyone is personally calling you lame if your life doesn't allow you to go to the game. If they are, that is not right. But I will be the first one to call our fan base lame if we cannot get 60,000 at this game when we sold out UNI and Iowa.
I would hope that we expanded our stadium to fill up huge Big 12 conference games like this one. And not non-conference games to an FBS and in-state rival. I hope the fan base proves me right this weekend.
Lol, I hate it when the end zone looks empty because people are inside. But to be fair, the SEZ ticket holders are comprised of a lot of older people that have donated a ton of money to the AD for many many years. It is the retirement home of the stadium. If I was over 80 years old and could sit inside during freezing temps...I probably would too. I know my grandpa sits outside for the first half of every cold game in the SEZ then takes breaks inside during the second half. He is 85 though.Biggest question. Will the SEZ'ers come outside and cheer?
45* at 2:30pm...how is this even a question of going to the game or not? I'd give my left nut to be there.
Trying to figure out how I can make it to Ames from Colorado with work Friday. If I can make it happen, I will gladly drive 10 hours through the crappiest state ever (Nebraska) overnight Friday to cheer on the Clones Saturday. It's Halloween, so if I look like a sleep deprived zombie during the game I'll fit right in. Go State!!!
