Illinois Loyalty is verrrry confident now, after another Crystal Ball. 75% of the posters are talking as if it's a done deal. Would love to see it all come crashing down, but also curious why the last 24 hours has all been Illini in regards 247

Another CB for Illinois. Eric Hampford of Future 150

Whoa, kinda stacking up in their favor, isn't it. Certainly not going to judge anyone if he does end up choosing Illinois because we all know recruiting isn't an exact science and often very fluid. But I do wonder if the Ayo, THT friction claims were being blown way out of proportion?

If IL happened I personally would think it was shady given all that's been reported.

I agree with the OP who thought IL got on the list due to his HS coaches and to appease the hometown fans. I always assumed that was his reason for the visit as well. Never seemed to be excited about IL before now.

It also might be a case where there is hope by projecting him to IL he would feel the pressure to follow through and choose IL? Especially if his coach has a relationship with IL as well.

There's really no information floating around at all, so any crystal ball picks are guesses at this point. I like how THT has conducted himself through this process. Very quiet and measured, with very little hype. Seems like he's making an intelligent decision for himself (and I cannot imagine any shady dealings from anyone within a thousand miles of the FBI investigation, and Underwood is closer than that).

At any rate, I don't think THT will be swayed by anything beyond what is the best fit for him. Hope that is the Cyclones.

What is happening is that since Illinois is his last visit and he announced he is making a decision. Meyer and Slater picked Illinois. Once those two guys pick someone, people start falling in line behind them. That is all that has happened.

The giant hole is a 247 CB pick and the people, well, the people are the "experts".
