- Solo needs to stay out foul trouble.
- Wonder who’s going to guard Porter. 6’10” with PG skills. Woof.
- DJax needs to be a hot hand from downtown
- Interested to see Lewis in game action
- Wigginton should get to the FT line a lot, and I think he’s a good FT shooter
- I hope folks remember we no longer have Monte, so we are going to commit more turnovers than we are used to...probably a lot more
- Would really like to see Babb being more assertive, and really need for him to be a threat from deep

From what I gather, this team is just going to be a lot different. More slashers, less pure shooting. Maybe on ball D will be better. I really hope we clear the glass more effectively.

I take no stock in the Emporia State game, so really looking forward to this one.

NWB gets first crack at it.

Entirely off-topic and completely random, but an amusement not worth a separate thread. Rutgers opens the season with the following opponents:

City College of New York (Division III)
Central Connecticut
Cleveland State
Coppin State
Bryant
East Carolina

They need a good lockdown defender on Porter. I'd guess NWB and just working to deny him the ball. I'm sure Prohm has a plan -- just need to execute it. And he won't be the only one to worry about. They have 3? double digit scorers back from last year.

Way up there
NWB gets Porter first, wouldn't be shocked to see Talley and Long spend time on him as well. I get he's a stud but we are forgetting he and their other bigs have to guard our guys as well. The 3 guys I mentioned could all be effective off the dribble against them, it'd be great if that trio along with Wigginton could get attack and get them in foul trouble. That's the only way I can see a win here but you never know.

It is a matchup of opposites. Their strength is their frontcourt while ISU's strength is their backcourt. It would be nice if guys like Wigginton and Babb can penetrate and draw some fouls on their bigs. I think ISU needs to really focus on keeping them off the offensive glass. In the KU exhibition game they were killing KU in that area in the first half.
