Omaha sports radio had a couple media guys on and said if Scott Frost is hired they will make a big push for Max.

Kind of crazy to even type this but Iowa State will have more to offer Max than the bug eaters will. Look at the skill players our staff has in the pipeline. Frost to Nebraska really doesn't scare me.

While I agree with you, you should take a look a the skill players (receivers) in the past few Nebraska recruiting classes. It's pretty impressive.

I'd take this kid, even if he has to sit out a year and this class is already tight on room, no doubt. I just don't think you turn down talent like that, especially on the OL.

Also, would be awesome if he could persuade his HS teammate to commit to ISU too :)

He played with Marquan McCall - #1 player in Michigan and #4 OG in the country and #153 overall player - he visited ISU back in April but committed to UK in May.

He does hold a UCF offer, so they're obviously aware of him.

This is one of the tidbits that convinced me a long time ago that Frost intends to take the Nebraska job. I've never seen UCF in the mix for a Midwest recruit before. Maybe Frost is recruiting the area because he knows the area. But if I'm being cynical, it seems just as likely that he is building relationships with Midwest recruits while on UCF's dime in anticipation of his eventual move back to Nebraska.

I imagine it's a combination of both.
