Arent you the one that still whines about hoiberg in every other basketball thread? And you're bagging on people weighing how to use their own money as 'throwing a fit'?

I still support the team. Unlike people that are only boycotting the bowl because they are pissed.

Robins, Iowa
JFC people. It's a bowl game. If we want a better bowl maybe we should end the year better than 1-3. Ya it's slightly ****** that we'll basically be playing a road game, but how many people had iowa state in a bowl game before week 1 or even week 4?
At first, reading everyone complain about the bowl I almost thought I had somehow gone to volnation and was reading about their coaching search. You all saying we should turn the bowl down are acting just like those d-bags there.

No one is seriously talking about not going to the Bowl game, even if it is a glorified road game. Just a lot of frustration because the team earned a bowl game, despite what happened to them in the OSU and KSU games.

How often does someone have to play a bowl game on someone else's home field? This would be the second time for ISU in a very short list of bowl games.

I will say that if the bowl is in Memphis, I'll be there. Any other location and I more than likely won't be. Easy drive vs an expensive flight, is something I'll pick at the moment.

Ok I am done being a pessimist about it. Good news:
Campbell wanted as late of a bowl as possible. No clue why but if he wanted it, then I am all for it.
We have shot to take out a demoralized ranked team on ABC national TV.
We should have a very good fan turnout since it is very drivable from Iowa. If we have another great turn out then it will only help us in the future as our team gets better and the bowls see our amazing fans.

A few reasons I will go are

1. It’s cheap
2. I enjoy hanging out with Cyclone fans, and there will be tons of them.
3. Helps our fan base reputation.
4. Love this team and want to give them the support they deserve.
5. Around New Years and conveniently falls on 3 day weekend so use less pto

I very specifically called out the few idiots saying we should turn the bowl down. Over the last few pages I have seen at least 5 people state that.

Practice time for younger players is my guess.

You really wouldn’t have to spend much money at all.
Leave very early on Friday morning, try to get to Memphis as early as possible. One night in a hotel, and leave on Saturday after the game, either right after if we lose, or much later if we win. You can do it very cheap.
