Maybe having two big physical guys inside is an antidote to their style. It's the obvious thing this team has that our previous 6 tournament teams didn't.

I always thought going into games against them that Monte being the best ball handler in the nation would nullify their press, it helped but somehow they still got their chaos officiating edge and won what felt like more than half of them those years.

That's a good point. Solo and Lard were all over the place tonight on both ends. Those guys getting after it on defense at the rim is something we haven't had. That guy with the goggles always killed us against them.

Probably why they've done worse against KU than ISU has even though they were always right around us in that top 4 of standings.

Where are the dudes from the Tennessee game thread that were ******** about Prohm now? None have posted in this game thread?
i ***** about prohm but I’ve posted in this thread. Are you going to compare this game to creating offense against regular defenses in the big 12 or something? As fun as it is winning big like this. West Virginia sped our offense up and didn’t force us to run offense most of the game.

If ISU could've played like that every game, we'd be probably be no worse than 16-5 now, even conceding the MIssouri and Milwaukee games.

Eh, with this roster, they weren't going to play like this every game.

No team plays every game like ISU did tonight.

Those OT losses would have been nice to get though.

Prohm haters can GTFO. He is a helluva coach, and is doing a supreme job with this team.

Hahhahahahahahaha! Yup, he's a damn John Wooden in the making![/QUOTE]

Seems like a necessary response to what I said. Never said he was John Wooden, but he also is cheating to win, so maybe he is better than him?

I've been on the Prohm train since day one, and don't take it back. Has he struggled? Of course he has, but he is a young coach still, and learning what it takes to win in this league. Couple that with what he walked into, what he had to recruit around, and a season like this was going to happen this year. Sure, we've had some bad losses, but we've also beat some damn good teams too, and we are a few plays from being 5-4 in this conference.

You can be an ass all you want, but I think he is a damn good coach.

Great win. Really happy for the team. They played incredibly hard for 40 minutes.

I don't mean this to take credit away from the coaches or players but it's amazing how much easier the game looks when shots fall.

Shots were in rhythm and came from everyone playing their game and taking the shots that fit them.

Saturday will be interesting, which is fun.

I asked this earlier and didn't see a response. When Lindell got hit in the face on the three, there was a flagrant 1 called. Why weren't there five free throws? 3 for the 3, 2 for the flagrant 1.
