Weber's won championships with recruits of others, yes. But others didn't recruit Marcus Foster, Wes Iwundu or Dean Wade.

Pointing out 3 players dating back to 2012 isn't exactly going to change a lot of opinions.

Prohm won big with the other guy's recruits. And clearly both those coaches, Dixon and Smart, are underachieving this year. Smart's team was awful last year as well.

I believe Dixon's teams will always be competitive. But Smart will be gone in a few years.

I'm sure you actually meant that Weber is only other coach with a Big 12 title but what you typed is very misleading.

Huggins - 10 titles at Cinci, 1 at Akron and 1 at Walsh
Kruger - 1 title at Florida, 1 at Illinois
Drew - 1 title at Valpo
Beard - 1 title at Arkansas - Little Rock
Dixon - 2 titles at Pitt
Prohm - 4 titles at Murray State

I don't know if I would call Dixon underachieving. The Big 12 is a gauntlet (even the top teams are losing games), and he had his star PG go down with a 13-3 record. He has also had to battle changing the losing culture at a historically bad TCU program.

Smart has the unique challenge of managing a roster that needed some reworking, all while managing a team chemistry of 2-3 three or four year guys, and a few that leave every year.

I think Dixon is a top 5 coach, he went 328-123 (72%) at Pitt and is 40-21 at TCU (who has been a bottom feeder ever since they joined the big 12)

Smart hasn't done anything at Texas yet but he made VCU into a great basketball program.

I think Smart will be decent at Texas, but I don't think any coach will make them a contender until that fan base/university start caring more about basketball.

Did Smart do much more than catch lightning in a bottle the Final Four year at VCU? He made them a solid contender for the conference but he never won the CAA or A-10 title and after their big splash to the Final Four the teams did progressively worse in the tourney.

I think he is a good coach but not the Wunderkind he is made out to be.

Outside of Drew, these rankings sure have a "what have you done for me lately" feel to them. Weber's overall conference record isn't that good to warrant a top half of the league place. I think he is a better coach than many KState fans give him credit for, but his results have been pretty underwhelming come tournament time.

Beard is two spots ahead of Prohm despite having a senior-heavy team that are not "his recruits" and having less time in the league. I think Beard is a very good coach and they are sitting at the top of the league right now, but your reasons are conveniently skewed to fit your narrative. To be fair, Culver and Smith are some nice freshman for him and I really hope they dethrone KU this year.

Also, the "sweet personality" comment is a bush league troll job. You're better than that.

I think it's premature to have Prohm in with Dixon. To put in groups, I'd say:

2. Prohm/Beard/Shaka/Boynton- too early on all, but all proved themselves prior to being here and haven't done anything to disprove themselves.
3. Weber- see above
