Im not sure if everyone knows but Texas is missing players tonight. Im doing a shot everytime ESPN mentions it from now till end of game.

Tale of the half:

FG%
ISU 52
UT 39

TOs
ISU 11
UT 6
If we can stay within 10% of that shooting clip and cut our turnovers in half, I like our chances. Only wildcard is if Texas comes out and is randomly red-hot from the field...but it isn't so random when their best shooting games always come against Iowa State

Agreed. I tend to credit Texas with hustling to collect those turnovers, but that has definitely been the difference maker.

Some of them certainly were defensive anticipation. Some were just trying passes that were a hair too aggressive. I’m cool with that, but whatever the case, we can’t let that happen and win.

Need Talley, Lard, Wigginton, and Jackson all to play there best this half. A lot of the time we are playing 4 on 5. The other guys just have to not make mistakes and give us a few positives.

Amazing how bad this team always is in last minutes of every first half.

It really has been that way...every game this past month. I think they are playing very hard, so do they just run out of gas??? (Really disappointed that Lard doesn't pass out of the double team more vs. forcing it.)

They go on a 16 to 3 run, we blow a 10 point lead and the only time out Prohm takes is after we score

I'm really hoping this season is the exception to what ISU looks like in the future.

I love our aggressiveness and intensity. These guys are letting it hang out and moving very well on both ends of the floor. If we can get some tighter screens for DJ to run off to get open looks, not turn the ball over, and keep the passes and catching passes from turning into TO’s, we can pull this out. Guys almost look too jacked up to be playing at Hilton South.
