All hail the Big 12 Champion Villanova Wildcats. Long may they reign.

I sense emails about chanhing conference afffiliation being sent right now since Nova couldn't win the regular season Big East.

I think we recruited Paschall when he was a transfer from Fordham. Good talent evaluation at least.

Is Michigan considered ever in the Blue Blood conversation?

Or Nova?

Is it even possible to do so if it wasn't considered before?

Nova's in that "blue blood-level right now" territory, like UConn in their glory years, but they aren't a full-fledged blue blood unless the next guy can keep it going and going and going.

A couple more titles would help, too.

Does anyone know if anyone has ever looked at whether or not there is an advantage in playing in the first final four game or the second? If anyone has a link that shows how the winner of the first final four game of the night has fared against the winner of the second game in the championship, I would love to see it. Probably isn't significant but I would prefer playing (and winning, obviously) the first game of the final four. I'd be interested to see if one team has been more successful than the other. If I was really driven, I would do it myself but I'm lazy, so...

Impossible to discern if either is an advantage (too many variables depending on matchups), but you have me curious, just for the heck of it.

@HoopsTournament might be of help. I'm not sure how well records are kept for historic games times. I wouldn't know a simple way to search.

Michigan and Nova are blue bloods. Maybe not first tier like Kentucky or Duke, but in that 2nd tier group along with other schools like Michigan State, Syracuse, Louisville, ect.

Nova was already the best team left standing on the tourney and they had their best game last night. Very impressive. Watching them destroy us was like watching a Mike Tyson fight when he was at his ferocious best. I feel bad for our kids knowing that they feel bad but this loss doesn't take any shine off of the season. We had an amazing season.

Graham will get to see both his jersey, a Final Four banner and the ncaa record 14th straight Big 12 title banner hung in the rafters of AFH forever and know that he led this team beyond their abilities. One of the best leaders we have ever had at KU.

And the players that will return next season will be HUNGRY. They got to see what it took to get to the Final Four. They got to see what a championship level team plays like and I think it will be a key part of next year's run to the national championship.

Rock Chalk!
