I can't imagine being Laurel having to make that last vote after all they'd been through but you knew she was gonna pick Wendell.

Figures that Wendell got the majority of the women's votes and Sebastian what a crybaby talking about how that tribal hurt his heart. It's a freaking game! That was a ballsy move by Dom to get people to think that idol was real that move I feel should have won this for Dom.

Whether it's this game or Big Brother it's amazing the grudges people hold in these games.

I was SO over Sebastian & Kellyn at the final tribal. Geesh, people - they out played you.

The vote went perfect. I thought Dom played better but Wendell was just as strong so it was a good ending.

Sebastian lost my respect. He was trying to Blackfoor dom and got outplayed and now he cries. Dom played that fake idol perfectly

The male model that Dom and him went at it all the time actually earned my respect. Knew it was a game. Buried the hatchet after the game. Did some charity work with Dom.

Totally ok with Wendell winning but I thought Dom was a better player. Then again they don’t show us what is going on at camp all the time.

My thoughts:

1. I can't think of a stronger final 2 in 36 seasons of survivor. Both players deserved to win and I would have been happy with either. Dom was smart in making Wendell earn it. Sure he could have given the necklace away, but that's too big of a risk IMO. No matter what, he at least had the chance to make his case. Wendell played a great move in keeping Laurel happy by giving her the final necklace.

2. Seabastian was so butthurt during jury questioning. Yes, Dom was a little cocky going off about his hardware, but if you think about it, Dom and Wendell kept it about the game. It's not like Dom bullied Sebastian personally. Just a great game move and it freaking worked!

3. Kellyn trying to insert herself like she mattered at all was comical.

4. Laurel getting zero votes is again why final 3 tribal sucks. How many times has the third person we've seen not get votes?

5. Can we please stop the fire making now? It's such a disadvantage to the final Immunity winner. Chrissy got screwed in that Ben stayed alive. Same with Dom. I say this admitting I loved Ben and Wendell. I just think it really hamstrings what should be a great reward for winning the final immunity.

6. The jury was WAY too big. You know its too big when you never hear from Chelsea, Angela, or Jenna.

7. Overall a good season. Ghost Island lost a lot of luster when production decides to still put idols on the main beach. However, watching two guys dominate the game to me was enjoyable. Even when there was a threat, they had good enough relationships someone would go tell them.

FWIW, they've been showing secret scenes online where you get a bit more taste of camplife and confessions. However, it'll never be like Big Brother where we can watch live feeds to get the real story despite what production wants us to think.

Yeah big brother can make a totally different show than what is really going on. Dom might have made a mistake by not building fire but no way do you make that move. Second place still get's you some good money. He also had to at least give himself a shot to be voted the winner. I don't blame him for that. Making fire is a crapshoot. You can be the best at it but if the Stuff does not catch fire right away you are screwed.

Next year Johnny Morrison the old WWE wrestler is playing. Should be interesting to see if he is more like the wrestler or totally different. It seems like the underdog tribe might get hammered in the contests.

2. I think people underestimate how much emotion goes into playing this game. Yeah it's 30 days...but it's 30 days of living with people 24/7 while starving and being recorded 100% of the time, it's an incredibly intense experience. It's easy to say that it's a game, and there are people like Michael who don't get their feelings hurt. However, there will always be people that DO get their feelings hurt, which is part of the game, and something you need to manage.

4. I like final 2's. I wouldn't mind the fire making challenge again but then one more immunity challenge to get to 2. I honestly would like to see a final 4 sometime because that would really mess with people's best laid plans.

6. Have Chelsea, Angela, or Jenna said anything really worth listening to all season?

7. I appreciated Dom and Wendell they had a master class going in how to play the game. HOWEVER, I was so consistently annoyed with everybody else playing the last few weeks I didn't enjoy it much. I almost turned it off tonight after Angela told Dom about the plan to vote him out. It was freaking stupid. I was angry and just started doing the dishes.

Agree 100%. Dom and Wendell absolutely dominated the game but the other players making some boneheaded decisions (Donathan - keep your freaking mouth shut!) made them look untouchable.

Some people said this was a disappointing season - I didn't think so. Maybe it was the domination of the top 2 that has people disappointed.

I would have voted for Dom but Wendell equally deserved it. A fitting end to this season for sure.

Love the responses!

I agree it's a highly emotional game, but Seabass was himself trying to blindside Dom. He just got outplayed. Game should respect game, but like you said you have to manage those that are more bitter jurors.

Chelsea won two immunity challenges and people still don't know who she is. Angela was worthless. Then you have Jenna who's best moment was her ponderosa video.

Agree, everyone else not named Dom or Wendell was awful down the stretch.

I agree I would say its 51-49 Dom over Wendell for me. Dom took a huge risk in the fake idol. He also played half the game with Chris breathing down his neck.

However, both Dom and Wendell deserve it over many other Survivor winners.

I would like to see the final four winner get to go automatically to the finals. Then one more contest for the other 3 to make the finals. Then fire for the remaining two that didn't make it. Just a change. Although I honestly don't mind the way they did it before or do it now.

I always said if I ever played the game and got blindsided I would not be mad. Frustrated but not mad. That is part of the game. I also feel like I might be good enough to make final 3 but might be in Laurels position since the best players are usually gamblers and make crazy moves that I am not sure I would be willing to make. Like Dom using a fake idol. I think I would have panicked and played the real idol. Which would have screwed Dom.

Donathan never had a chance to do anything. He was just a guy they were using for the vote. The one thing I think Dom and Wendell messed up on was not taking Donathan to the finals. Obviously it turned out ok since they got all the votes. However, Donathan really would not have got a vote. Normally in Survivior and big brother you take some schmuck that had no chance of winning with you.

The fire does make for great television. I was off my couch rooting for Wendell.

Don don and Laurel needed to grab Kellyn and Sebastian a couple weeks ago and then gone after Wendell or Dom. Or at least flushed an idol and sacrificed someone like Angela.

Wendell playing his idol for Laurel at the 5-player tribal is what won it for him, I think. That speech about him seeing her and treating her as a sister was enough to tip the scale of Laurel's vote in his favor. It kinda seemed lame/symbolic at the time, but it ended up being a crucial decision and I don't think he would have won if he would have just pocketed that idol as a keepsake.

Let me give you a personal anecdote. I always used to get really surprised by how mean or snippy some of the teams got with each other on The Amazing Race. Two years ago, one of my friends organized an Amazing Race course for Des Moines. It was a heck of an idea, she did a fantastic job, and there were a bunch of cool legs to the race, it took almost all day.

It took about two legs of the race before I turned into an incredibly whiny punk because stuff started not going our way and I didn't know where to go. It's one of those moments when you realize that if I ever went on the Amazing Race with my wife we'd probably get divorced. And this is a game amongst friends with zero on the line.

You just can't know how much the game will get to you until you play it. I don't blame anybody for how they react.

Agree to disagree. They have certainly seen Survivor before. They know its a game of deceit at times. Dom out played him, and he whined about how mean it was.....which he has every right to but it was like common, we've seen much worse. He should have watched Big Brother Canada this year, it was off the charts with blindsides/backdoors ect.

And speaking of local reality shows.....everyone should check out Survivor Maryland. Pretty awesome.
