Wherever I go, there I am.
Maybe this'll help you recognize him

Same thoughts on Bain and his contacts. I believe he has a couple of sources close to the program and AAU but being new to the local recruiting scene hasn't gotten his radar fully set on reading what is true and false from his sources on the staff's intent. Bain got hired to report the EIU and ISU's recruiting thus needs to put out weekly content leading to speculation with the local targets getting more attention especially for recruits both programs are offering.

For example, I never thought Carton was the staff's PG priority and over stated the mutual interest. I also have a hard time thinking Terry is the staff's 1 priority over Tandy, Lewis or McKinnley. Terry is a good prospect but if given his choice of the 4 I doubt Prohm would choose TT. JMO
The article does state that they view him on the same level as Carton. That's a pretty specific comparison by a journalist. If the staff views him as being that good, maybe he is their top priority. I'd find it a little hard to believe with how high those other guys are ranked nationally, but maybe the coaching staff sees things a little bit differently. It doesn't seem exactly right, but maybe it is.

What do you not like @swimmercy? I'm curious.
You agreeing with the Ivan Chiriev comment. Not a big deal. Just don't think it's applicable to this situation and it wasn't funny to me. The rest of your comment is fine. I thought the buttons were for quickly voicing opinions. I didn't know I needed to explain choosing to dislike something. If you are not supposed to dislike things I guess I will stop. Not a big deal to me...

I'm not trying to be a jerk. I just was curious and starting a conversation. You're good.

Ivan Chiriev was one of those original Mystery Recruits for ISU who never showed up, so that's why I agreed with it. I hope Marcedus turns out just fine for ISU, just noting the humor in it.

I honestly didn't think we'd ever see Lard on campus, much less playing, and now he's a budding star. Hopefully he keeps his head on straight and can capitalize on his great first season.

I wish he was still a 5 star haha. He either really fell off or we are possibly getting a major steal. (If it is true that he committed.)

I think that is the idea here.

Glad the young man seems really excited to be a Cyclone, though.

I am sure the staff is just checking out his health, academics, and behavior before fully accepting such a commitment. That would explain the radio silence.

I think this is likely true, but I can confirm, from the best source possible, that he has committed to ISU.
