No, you aren't. You weren't asked to name your sources. You were simply asked to stop with the vague statements and be more clear about the information you were (supposedly) trying to share with us. Cyclad, on the other hand, stated very clearly what he was trying to share with us. We didn't have to guess what he meant.
Never understood the “name your sources” thing. A lot of times the source does not want to be named since the info is confidential. On these forums u get a rep from your sources over time being right or wrong.
I do not think any of us care if you name your sources as long as you are generally right. We understand if you do not want to name or “burn” your sources. As long as you are right, then we are going to listen in the end. Heck, CW never names his sources on anything, but we still listen to him given who he is and his position.
Despite this,
@Cyclad even went out of his way to tell us that either a member of the coaching staff or Prohm himself was the source. That is how you do it — be direct about your information and/or being willing to identify your sources of you want to or think it would be important context. The sources help but are not necessary.
How not to do it — speaking vaguely or in a way that you know can be easily misinterpreted, either to give yourself wiggle room if you are wrong or to stir up arguments or worry. Just give it straight. We do not really need to know sources as long as your information is clear and in good faith, but they certainly can help out.
