I wonder if there has been a hint from him that if a school like ND does come into the fold, that he is going that route. Like he has a list of 3 schools that he is going to no matter how late they come in. Idk why schools would just be dropping out of the race on a guy like this.

Iowa cancelled the visit. Sounds like it was a numbers thing and they had their guy. I think this significantly improves our chances, although Notre Dame will be tough if they are truly interested in him.

Key will be if he sets a commitment date before fall. ND doesn't want him to visit before fall. If he sets a date in the next month or so, it's Iowa State, Minnesota, Northwestern, maybe in that order. Maybe getting dropped by Iowa puts urgency in it for him not to wait for Notre Dame?

Decided they are only taking 1 RB.

I figured Brock was a take regardless of the numbers situation but apparently not. Its one of the issues with only having 11 seniors on the team this year. You have to be very selective with the class you are signing.

This is a much better time for an OV. Will be able to be around more players and other potential recruits. It also help close the door a bit on ND by not trying to squeeze them in before the dead period.

Pre-ND he said he wants to commit in July.

Why is it bizarre that ND wouldn't care less what 2 has been programs think of a recruit.

Yep, ND most likely understands why, at this point in the recruiting process, a four star RB is telling these two Big10 programs he is moving on.

Most likely Iowa is getting vibes that Brock wants to go to ND or ISU, so they yanked his always committable offer.

Or most likely Iowa pulled the offer because they will be full after Goodson commits. Schools would have to pull a whole crap ton of offers if they were doing it out of pettiness. From what I understand Brock is a NW lean at this point anyways. I have no idea what ND coming into the picture does for his recruitment though.

Way up there
Based on BF's comments about ISU's recruiting, Brock had no interest in going to Iowa. He basically said they'd never pull an offer from a kid who wanted to commit.
