After being foster parents to our little guy from the time he was 7 weeks old in April 2017, today we officially adopted our son Oliver (Ollie)! He's given us some challenges - Down Syndrome, open heart surgery, a special helmet to correct the shape of his skull (temporary, thankfully), physical/occupational/feeding/speech therapies, and soon orthotics to help him learn to walk - but he has been a happy guy through it all. He's got great curly red hair that looks amazing with his Cyclone gear. We'll be bringing him to the SDSU game in a couple months and can't wait to get photos of him with Cy in JTS.

Congratulations!! It looks like you are so lucky to have found each other and we can always use more Iowa State fans :)

I have a friend that is fostering and I've seen how hard and challenging and rewarding it is. People that foster, whether for a week or for forever, are giving those kids much needed love. It is truly one of the best and most unselfish things a person can do.

Congrats, I have so much respect for people who foster and give kids a better life. How old is he now?
