O’Rien Vance #1 on the two deeps today

What does everyone know about this guy? I know very little about his high school career and how he has looked in practice.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is still the starting MLB when the season starts. And he is surrounded by experienced guys, Harvey and Spears. This defense is gonna be solid!

I know he was lightly recruited coming out of high school. I believe ISU was his only P5 offer. The chatter was that he might have trouble qualifying academically and that's why everyone backed off, but that's just what I remember reading here. It clearly wasn't a question of ability. He was an absolute monster at CR Washington. The coaching staff is very high on him and I'm glad they were able to maintain his redshirt last year so he still has four to play. He's going to be a defensive playmaker.
