Reluctantly bought a Hisense two years ago and its been the best TV I've ever had. Great interface, easy connections and great picture on a 65" 4K. Only negative is its got poor speakers but if you're using a soundbar, you're golden.

Counterpoint: Do buy a Samsung, I've had a ks8000 model for 2 years and love everything about it.

Now you don't know what to do!

Yeah, i've had nothing but good experiences with samsungs.

Like every manufacturer, there is higher and lower end stuff they offer. If you're in samsung's good range (which you likely are if you're looking at an 80+" QLED), you're fine.

I think Sony, Samsung, and LG are kind of like Honda and Toyota. They all have models that may be better but overall as brands, they are pretty reliable. With that said, I'd rather have a 65" LG OLED than a 75" Samsung QLED with the price being equal but it's close.

Not sure if it was limited to certain models but trust me there is an issue. Pages and pages of conversations on their website support chatroom. My wireless connections is dropped about 75% of the time with no pattern at to how long TV has been off. I have soundbar hardwired to TV and 75% of the time it will not play when I start Spotify app. Again no pattern as to when it does or does not work. Have to restart app 2-4 times to get the soundbar to play. I have a 65 inch 4K.

I'm a peasant. I still have my Samsung 50" 720P plasma.

I have a 42" plasma Samsung in our "TV room" that has to be pushing 12 yrs old that won't die.

Die damn it.....die!!

I will say I have bought electronics since that time and have had good luck with Travvis TV (if the OP lives in the DSM metro). They've always matched prices (if needed) and I like supporting a local biz.

I think LG is their main product line.

Every time I think about buying a new TV I just tell myself to wait until the current one dies. It's probably about the same age as that.

I'm a Samsung fan also. But I admittedly never use any of the SmartTV apps.

Give me a TV without a tuner, speakers, or "smarts" and I'll buy it. Between my TiVo and a Roku I don't need it.

I am probably going to buy one of those LG OLED's sometime though. They're beautiful

Just to counter and confuse the OP . . . but this is literally the first time I've heard anything good about Traviss. And I can think of probably 8 or 9 other people with similar experiences.

If you plan on putting it in a room where you can control the light pretty well, I'd recommend just getting a projector. I bought an Epson 1080p projector, 120" projection screen, and a sound bar for under $1000.00

I don't know the circumstances, but I can only imagine how challenging this business would be to know that a high percentage of people are coming into your store just to pick your brain, see products in person, and then leaving to go buy online.

I have a 70 inch Vizio that I paid about a grand for. No idea what O or Q LED is.

I've always had good luck with Vizio. Own 3 of them and never had an issue.
