Gary Patterson
Wittingham
David Shaw
Vrabel
Fickel
Stoops
Just off the top of my head list regardless of where they are.
KState needed to have Bill "retire" and move in on him 2 years ago.Brent Venables should be the first name they look at.
Why would OSU need a clean coach? After Tressel they got U.M. Meyer didn't have a snow white image when he arrived. Gene Smith is still the A.D. right? He cares about winning and himself making money IIRC. So he could go after someone like the dude at Louisville who crashed while having an affair with an assistant coachs wife. Petrino i think.

Gary Patterson will never go to K-State after the clown show the last time they tried to hire him. Anybody that is involved in that program or lives in KC loves to talk about how Kevin Keitzmann (local radio host) and the dude from GoPowerCat.com broke the news before Patterson could tell his players, after asking them specifically not to do that, so he told them he isn't taking the job anymore. Then they hired Ron Prince bc, wtf else were they going to do at that point? Maybe time has healed those wounds, but Keitzmann is still a big part of the KC/KSU media scene, and also still a jackwagon.
Tressel was fired over an impermissible benefits scandal. If Meyer was fired over a scandal involving domestic abuse, the standards just got way higher.
Patterson is a good idea, but if he has not left by now...
Wittingham is another West Coast guy.
Shaw is a West Coast guy and Stanford alumnus.
Vrabel just got hired as the head coach of the Tennessee Titans.
Fickel went 4-8 at Cincinnati last season.
I truly believe that Stoops really has called it a career.
None of these guys present a combination of resume, availability, potential interest, regional fit, and wholesomeness to the degree that Campbell would.
I had never heard that story. Wow.
I remember when there was a BURNING rumor on CF the night before we hired Chizik that we had hired Patterson. Nothing similar happened, right?
Seems like covering up for domestic abuse is worse than covering for some kids who sold their jerseys.
No idea, but with some of the bumbling AD's we have had at ISU, i'm sure we have done some stupid stuff.
I meant you cannot go with another shady replacement, like they did with Tressel to Meyer. They are going to need an absolute saint after an abuse scandal.
I cannot remember if it was the night before we hired Chizik or Rhoads now. One or the other.

Cool. Like I said, continue to wring your hands that the only possible replacement is Campbell. I'll be over here not worrying as I ultimately don't think anything happens to Meyer and if he is gone I don't think we lose our coach.
