If Meyer gets fired at OSU should we all go into panic mode here?
Idk, maybe. Campbell seems pretty cozy here so maybe not. After this year assuming we play well and he doesn't leave I think we can all breathe easy. Campbell seems to have a sweet spot for us Cyclones. Just look how mad he got when the rumors flew last year.

They'd probably do an interim coach for this year. Next year? Maybe. But I bet they go all in on Bob Stoops if they do the right thing and fire the scumbag

I guess you're not an Ohio State coach if you do not leave in ignominy. Aiding and abetting a wife-beater is a new low, though, for such a storied program.
If Urban Meyer gets fired (which I highly doubt he will) Ohio State will absolutely come for Campbell.

Why? Because he is from Ohio? I don't think they'd come for him because he went 8-5 last year.
I’d like to think Campbell would feel ISU isn’t where he wants it to be and his honor and drive would keep him here. BUT I have to admit this makes me nervous...not panic, but nervous.
Interim for this season. See if Campbell can "prove it," let a year burn off his buyout, and assess him and other potential candidates after this season.

Running one of the top 5 programs is much different than building up a non-power school into a decent program. OSU won't want a hands-on builder with only 2 years experience in a power 5 conference, they will want a less risky pick IMO. I think Campbell could handle a position like that at some point, but I don't think he is ready yet.
If I'm Jamie Pollard, I'm taking Campbell and his wife to dinner and a movie tonight, so he can't take any calls or texts without me knowing it!
So are we rooting for a good year to have fun one last time or a mediocre one so they don't go after Campbell?
