Hmmmmmmm... Interesting. We need to just schedule any FCS team that will take our money for the bye week. Heck, even another FBS team would be better than nothing.

Pollard in front of the media.

100% not playing tomorrow. This was agreed upon between the teams. They'll have their eyes open for other teams to play throughout the year, but no guarantees. SDSU still gets paid. Akron probably not playing tomorrow at Nebraska because, per Pollard, "There are no hotels in Lincoln". Players serving a suspension will have this game count as their suspension served.

Edit:
To add more about playing tomorrow, neither coaches were real excited about throwing off next week's game prep in order to play the game tomorrow. Plus the forecast still looks bad.

This is all reasonable.

Except it does not address one more option --

Playing in Bergstrom tonight.

This thread and these "make-up the game with no fans" posts are a prime example of day drinking turned into night drinking turned wrong.

Is it really that crazy though? In Europe the certain soccer fans have a tendency to get racist and their leagues will punish them for it with empty stadium games pretty commonly. Those games are comparable to a college football game in terms of fans and ticket prices...plus college football is supposed to be an amateur sport anyway.

I can see why the Bergstrom isn't equipped to play right now, but if the fans are the only thing keeping the team from a 12 game schedule we should play tomorrow at Trice without fans.

It would also suck to make it up on a bye week that the team might need.

Local Omaha news confirming Nebraska rescheduled their game for tomorrow at 10:30am.

There really needs to be an uprising about this on who makes these calls.

There's no a way one game in the same region should be rescheduled and one just wiped out.

If this was JP's decision he'd better face the heat.

Well, Pollard is apparently wrong about Nebraska.

And SDSU shouldn't get full pay for this. Pollard say anything about refunding ticket holders? Guessing there is some legal mumbo jumbo on the backs of the tickets that says something to cover the AD in this type of situation.

Why does SDSU still get paid for this if they don’t want to play tomorrow?

Who said it was just them? Maybe Campbell wants a normal week heading into the Iowa game.

I didn't hear the very beginning, but I heard him say something about it being similar to blizzard scenarios in basketball? I think basically they won't refund unless they aren't able to schedule another game this season, which they will be trying to do.

I don’t see how anyone can be upset about not moving things up today - pretty much all weather forecasts said we should be fine for the game.

I do think there is reason to be upset with not having an automatic move to tomorrow - why can’t that be the agreement ahead of time by all parties (both schools, vendors, media, etc) - no matter what the contingency plan is move the game to Sunday at 11 AM?

He mentioned keeping his eyes open for any other possible weather-related rescheduling, but that seems optimistic. Who knows.
