Why does SDSU still get paid for this if they don’t want to play tomorrow?
Am I the only one that would rather keep our bye week. Think bigger picture people. The Big12 looked like crap this week. Focus on getting to the title game
The forecast for tomorrow is basically chance of thunderstorms all day.I don’t see how anyone can be upset about not moving things up today - pretty much all weather forecasts said we should be fine for the game.
I do think there is reason to be upset with not having an automatic move to tomorrow - why can’t that be the agreement ahead of time by all parties (both schools, vendors, media, etc) - no matter what the contingency plan is move the game to Sunday at 11 AM?
Pollard in front of the media.
100% not playing tomorrow. This was agreed upon between the teams. They'll have their eyes open for other teams to play throughout the year, but no guarantees. SDSU still gets paid. Akron probably not playing tomorrow at Nebraska because, per Pollard, "There are no hotels in Lincoln". Players serving a suspension will have this game count as their suspension served.
Edit:
To add more about playing tomorrow, neither coaches were real excited about throwing off next week's game prep in order to play the game tomorrow. Plus the forecast still looks bad.
There really needs to be an uprising about this on who makes these calls.
There's no a way one game in the same region should be rescheduled and one just wiped out.
If this was JP's decision he'd better face the heat.
Dude - you and a few others are doing nothing but perpetuate the stupid, trite, stale and ignorant cliche of "poor ISU put on your nut-cup" crap. If you think our season is ruined because of a rain delay/cancellation in the first day of the season then you have no idea exactly WHO CMC is and what this program will achieve.
Be part of the change on culture for the positive...
WE WANT NOTE DAMN!Note Damn is open October 20th. Get the dormers in here for a barn burner.
Does anyone have a big-ish backyard!?Bergstrom is a practice facility.LOL at everyone that thinks NCAA teams can play a competition “just anywhere.”
Now that I think about it, we may really want to have normal preparation for Iowa rather than miss a day. Idk
Yes I’ve seen our schedule. We are better than Baylor, Kansas, Kansas State, Akron, and Texas Tech easily. We also can beat WVU and Iowa and Texas didn’t look good. It’s really not that daunting. It would be a daunting schedule if this was 2014 and Paul Rhoads was still here. This is the same as losing to a 1-AA team from a bowl eligibility perspective.
And yes, I know we should be better than to worry about going 5-6, but...
-- Vegas said our O/U was 6.5, now it is 5.5
-- Have you seen our schedule?
-- HAVE YOU SEEN OUR SCHEDULE?
This is not the start we needed. We needed that auto W.
