Don't believe they work. Believe FCS teams have to have a certain number of scholarship players to count as a win for bowl purposes and Drake is a non-scholarship program.

Also, FCS is limited to an 11 game season, so that makes it very difficult.

Exactly. FSU without looking, probably found another fcs Florida school that cancelled a game or 2 during hurricane season last September

I can't find an FCS pushover or low-level FBS that'd be open on Oct. 20, I say we keep it a bye week and assume an 11-game schedule. If something else arises that works, that's fine.

That's a nice break after a front loaded schedule.

FCS is also only playing 11 regular season games this year. FCS plays 12 regular season games 3 times evey decade or so. They play 12 games in 2019.

It’s possible that ISU and an FCS school could petition the NCAA for an extra game. Tons of FCS schools have a bye week on 10/20 and they’d gladly take ISU’s money to get destroyed

We don't have the resolve to do think in a way that is better for others.
